Re: OFFICIAL - City Club Apartments (former Midwest Hotel)

Trashy? It is a convenience store, what do you expect? Not everything has to be artisinal, local goods. These are the kind of stores we need to increase walkability/car free livability. Looks like they have more groceries than a QT or CVS. Looks more like a large bodega. I'll be giving this place a...

Re: OFFICIAL - City Club Apartments (former Midwest Hotel)

So this is like a CVS minus the pharmacy? Sure but throw in the soda fountain, slurpee, and rotisserie hotdog machines you'd find at a QT https://www.supermarketnews.com/sites/supermarketnews.com/files/DGxGrabnGoBeverage.jpg.png https://media.bizj.us/view/img/10699109/dgx-store-schmidts-commons-nor...

Re: OFFICIAL - City Club Apartments (former Midwest Hotel)

Just do a quick Google image search for 'DG X'
This concept looks like a QT, a place to pick up junk food. Kinda trashy for the Crossroads and nowhere near an urban Target.

Re: 4711 Belleview

It looks like this project may have grown in size. From a rezoning application submitted 12/6: Address 4711 Belleview Ave Kansas City MO 64112 Description Request for rezoning 2 adjacent parcels to currently zoned MPD-5 parcels from R1.5 to MPD-5. this allows for additional residential units to proj...

North is up in that plan, so the curved facade would be facing the cemetary

Re: Downtown Overland Park

I would add that they knocked it out of the park with Strang Hall. I don't know if it has any nightlife scene like you will find at Parlor (if that appeals to you), but it is a great addition. Great food, diverse options, and a really nice space with a unifed branding. It felt more high-end and grow...

Re: Broadway

Renovation on the MGE building looks underway. I didn't have a chance to snap a pic but noticed two weekends back that the concrete cladding on the back (west) side had sections cut out.

I believe 3 of 9 have sold. Only 6 listings remain on the real estate sites.

Re: OFFICIAL: Port Authority Riverfront Project

Riverfront has a chicken/egg problem. While streetcar extension is planned, suburban style developments with suburban style parking continue by suburban/warehouse minded developers. They need to plan these with future streetcar in mind. When the streetcar does run through, we'll all be thinking WTF...

The DST parcels would be very prominent, but at risk of raising the ire of KC if it blocks the P&L building out of the skyline view from the south.
