Re: Downtown Omaha Condo Tour
very enjoyable and informative Omaha thread, thanks for posting. Is there any new construction housing planned around Ameritrade Park DT? I too wish KC would develop our riverfront, namely Berkley park, similarly. First of all thanks everyone. I'm glad you liked these. :) There is some residentia...

Downtown Omaha Condo Tour
For the last few years developers of new condos Downtown have put on the Downtown Living Tour as a showcase for their properties. New ones are added each year, while some are mainstays each year. I think this year had the fewest amount of properties to view but it is still a big event in Downtown. S...

Re: Omaha pictures (updated 1/17/10)
Thank you. This is a teaser of some of the KC firm designed Kerry Bridge in similar fog. It just won't go away this week. I'll have the rest up sometime this week.

Re: Omaha pictures (updated 10/29/09)
I took these earlier tonight. We have had some interesting fog the last couple of days in Omaha so I went out and got some shots I'm very pleased with. Re: Omaha pictures
I decided last night since nothing was on tv and my man was gone that I should go out and take pictures like I used too. I didn't have any set agenda on what to shoot but to just wander around and see what I could find. I also didn't bring a tripod or any filters, just pointing and shooting like I u...

I don't like to change things too much so the sky is close to natural as it can be although there is some editing.

Re: Brief KC trip pics
Thanks guys.
And it wasn't so much trying to sleep it off "in the streets" as much as it was right in front of the Sprint Center. Drunk mind was telling me it was ok to lay down in the street because it was closed off. I guess not.

Re: Brief KC trip pics
Thanks. I love my camera. I've had it for over 2 years now so we're pretty tight. I wanted to get a lot more pics than what I had a time to get. The last time I was in KC they were still tearing buildings down for where the Sprint Center was going to be. I would have gone over to P&L after the c...

Brief KC trip pics
Took a few pics while I was down in KC for Britney a few weeks ago. Didn't get a whole lot of time for other pics but here are a few in the morning. I have a few more I'll post later. http://i44.tinypic.com/25kkmmf.jpg http://i42.tinypic.com/33m5tg4.jpg http://i40.tinypic.com/o0ov0k.jpg http://i40.t...

Rose & Crown on 20th and St. Mary's. It's the definition of dive. I've been there a few times and always had a blast.

Re: Omaha: Considering building a new DT ballpark
Here's the deal... The stadium Downtown that is under construction now is going to seat around 25,000 to accomodate the CWS. The Royals owner, Alan Stein, was a part of the stadium committee and there even though the stadium is still large for them there were design elements that made things work fo...

Re: W/Element Hotel for Midtown Omaha
I can see it being like that. I know I looked it up one time and the distance from 1KCP to CC is a little further than it is from First National to Midtown Crossing.

Re: KC firms win bid to build Omaha's Missouri River pedestrian bridge
The bridge is very sturdy but has to have some sway in it. I was actually part of the tests testing the bridges ability to withstand vibrations beyond what they would expect for capacity. The bridge also withstood the storm this past June the ninja kicked the shit out of everything else in town.

Re: KC firms win bid to build Omaha's Missouri River pedestrian bridge
Well it was wasted on me. We've heard about it from day one. Some idiot said the Fed should be responsible for all suicides off the bridge. Plus I still don't think it's a fatal fall. Jumpers off of other (higher) bridges in Omaha have all survived. Some weren't even injured.
