Re: OFFICIAL: Port Authority Riverfront Project

They did put up a sign board talking about future murals expanding along the wall abutting the train track, I saw the new lights along the west section of trail but have not seen them on yet.

Here is a much more modern version of the Bungalow Court Concept from Texas. Some units are off of a shared courtyard while others abut a parking lot. https://www.google.com/maps/@33.2344782,-97.1732606,163m/data=!3m1!1e3?entry=ttu https://www.google.com/maps/@33.2344638,-97.1729995,3a,75y,155.35h,7...

Re: Real Estate Listings of Interest (Metrowide)

Rowhouses and townhouses are charming, but bear in mind when developing that many older people who are looking to downsize, need places with no stairs. Makes the hunt for affordable housing as an elder even more difficult. I have asked for "urban flats" for years. Cannot talk anyone into ...

Re: Generic ongoing KCATA thread

KCATA needs to look to a city like Austin for an example of how to run a bus system. I was impressed with that system while working out there and Texas also appears to provide little if any funding much like Missouri.

Apartments and townhomes should be available this year: https://cptownhomes.com/ 2 more infill developments in the works, but information is not yet ready. Townhomes and SFH. I think some will have ADUs. This one probably needs work: https://www.zillow.com/homedetails/523-Tracy-Ave-Kansas-City-MO-6...

Can't wait for an actual ped connection. That main street bridge is cool as an overlook but sucks for connection. The other option through Columbus park is dangerous and almost unusable. Where is the pedestrian connection going to be? What option do you have from Columbus Park? Walking down Guinott...

The Star pavilion will likely survive as something like an immersive art experience and museum similar to those established in other cities. https://meowwolf.com/ This would be fitting seeing that it conserves an already-built structure and saves the cost of demolition (where the City would likely ...

Since most of us will be waiting for a while for some actual news, I'm going to throw out a wild stadium site. I think you could squeeze a stadium in north of 43rd and Broadway Blvd. Westport would be the entertainment district. It's a couple blocks to the streetcar. Far enough from Plaza NIMBYs (y...

I'm kind of disappointed people on here believed the polling before the election. How was this polling done? Who was polled and where? Is it still mostly cold calls? I thought it was well known most polling skews to older generations and completely passes over thirty-somethings and younger.

As long as it gets immediately replaced and the land isn't demoed and sat on. If they own the property they can build whatever they want over it by right.

Even if I would prefer as much reuse as possible.
