Re: Can KC Secede and join Kansas?
Oh please stop being hypocrites. It was hyperbole. And I’ll admit in retrospect it was in poor taste. If any of you snowflakes thought I was serious I apologize, sincerely. My bad, and I mean it. Those of you advocating for KC to leave Missouri why don’t you just move to Kansas? If you are sincere i...

Re: Can KC Secede and join Kansas?
Does anyone really think that if the orange guy had won in 2020 that we would be in any different situation? Please. This economist is great, big business is the one that causes inflation not the government printing more money and it makes perfect sense. I mean big business is reaping in record pro...

Re: Downtown Baseball Stadium
There's no way KC could pull that off. State building, jail and historic church demoed before construction and that tight location.... 1 in a billion chance. There's no reason why this space would be easier to make work than Washington Square Park. The new stadium could be elevated from the street t...

I agree no dome.
But a smaller boutique urban stadium with a retractable roof like Toronto would be optimal IMO.

Re: Price Mgmt Project at 31st and Main
I don't care about the buildings. If they had a real and serious plan to go 4-5 floors of residential with first floor retail I'd say go. But the last thing we need is some suburban douches from witchiterr sitting on this high profile corner for decades. Tax those losers out the eye until they beg t...

Re: Can KC Secede and join Kansas?
I work in Missouri politics and don't find the post sensational. Missouri is a failed state and an absolute albatross. Yep. If there's a way to get it done I'd support getting KC into KS. Of course you would, you're a johnny-come-lately kansas homer. Kansas has been trying to suck Missouri's balls ...

Re: Can KC Secede and join Kansas?
None of you people must be from here. Kansas City is uniquely "Missouri." No one born in this city would ever consider being in Kansas. There is nothing "kansas" about this city. The city had the name before Kansas was a state. All of our culture, food, music, slang and history i...

Re: Downtown Baseball Stadium
This is why Washington Square is STILL the best possible location. It's right on the streetcar and across the street from Crown Center, Union Station, Liberty Memorial and a 4 minute streetcar ride to P&L. And with the south loop park completed, there is no hindrance to walking from the loop. T...

Re: 3rd & Grand to be redeveloped as TOD
Will this have any impact in hastening the apartments across Grand on the NW corner?
That hole in the ground is just sickening and makes this city look like a bunch of idiot lowlifes.

Re: West Bottoms Redevelopment
Yeah if it’s gonna end up looking this good we need to have some sort of transit or small connector to the downtown Just use the 12th street E-W SC route from the next rail study, if the population they’re claiming will be there will actually be there, it’s a no brainer I mentioned that before. If ...

Drove through Denver yesterday (June 14th). Counted 9 cranes in the air!!! All on the NE side of downtown. Jealous as hell!!! Whatever our approach to development our City employes is wrong and needs corrected ASAP!!!! We have young, novice political hacks running our city. None of them have worked...

Re: Plaza move-ins (ongoing)
Yes new buildings need to be developed into the mall/retail blocks with residential above. But I'm not for eliminating curbs or pedestrian only streets. That's not needed. More residents and high rise residential. Hopefully the streetcar will bring it but nobody is jumping on that for some reason. I...

Re: Old KCPS HQ - 12th & McGee
Wait, if Copaken Brooks can't get anything done for over a decade at 13th & Grand , a much more prolific and viable spot, why would anyone think they can get anything done on this parcel? Obviously less $$ will be spent at the old KCPS site, is that why?
