Re: OFFICIAL - Pennway Point

Isn't one of the guys behind this a big proponent of the Greenline around the downtown area? I fully expect some push for a path along the RR Correct. What earthling drew isn’t too far off from the idea. Connection to the Haverty bridge plays into this being a spur/trailhead of the south leg of the...

Re: KU/KCK <-----> TSC East/West Transit

There's not even a funding source identified yet for this expansion. Most realize that a broader source is needed (countywide or citywide) and the current TDD model will not work. If that’s the case then why are we making route decisions based on money? Shouldn’t the goal be at this stage to determ...

Re: KU/KCK <-----> TSC East/West Transit

No way will the people in west 39th allow the parking to go away. What makes you think the more influential forces on Westport Road would make it any easier? We're also overlooking the crossover for the Main Street Extension was placed right at Westport Road. While that doesn't eliminate a turn the...

Re: KU/KCK <-----> TSC East/West Transit

Taking the line through the heart of Westport and then down the much wider Westport Road does seem to make a lot of sense though. You would basically have both streetcar lines on each end of the plaza area. No way will the people in west 39th allow the parking to go away. This Plus the project coul...

Re: KU/KCK <-----> TSC East/West Transit

That’s interesting to hear Westport Rd hasn’t been seriously studied. What would that look like? Main to 39th then onto Westport rd before turning on rainbow to KU Med? Stops at: - Broadway and Westport Rd - Roanoke Parkway and Westport Rd - 43rd and Rainbow - KU Med at 39th and Rainbow Is that too ...

Should be interesting to watch this next week, Mayor & CM getting behind the project with a "Tax Redirection Agreement" of up to ~$12M. Will first hit Legal Review on Tuesday. https://clerk.kcmo.gov/LegislationDetail.aspx?ID=6437179&GUID=07EEB5EF-5DD8-46A3-8E03-367F84F06AF6&Op...

Drove by today. There’s crews working it and they’re 60-80% done with the windows.

Doesn’t look to me like anything is being done on the “historic” part. Might be irrational but I’m having faith.

I genuinely want to understand- what is the reason for a provision as drastic as not being able to screen for income, prior evictions, criminal history or credit score when evaluating whether to rent to someone? I thought KS & MO had agreed to stop the “border war” when it came to poaching businesses & moving dollars around the Metro but resulting in a zero sum NET gain. This would be the biggest of the poaching ever, and if not certainly the biggest in the last 50yrs. They may not employe a lot of...

Re: Plaza move-ins (ongoing)

The bowl concept needs to go but even so a taller building could go there and contribute to the bowl given it's outer rim of Plaza. And the tennis courts don't need to go as they could be put on rooftop as well as indoor courts. Make it a multi-floor community complex with transit center, move Plaz...

File this under urban living pet peeves but I agree this is incredibly frustrating. Especially all the people illegally parked on 13th by Cosentinos and yardhouse. When they’re loading a concert into the midland and people are also parked illegally on the south side of 13th, that stretch is a mess ...
