Re: Freight House Podium Project - 20th and Walnut
I meant between downtown and crown center. But yea, just though it would be could to see the crossroads build up like what's happening basically. I always though it would be pretty amazing if the Plaza area buildings were all in all the empty lots of the crossroads. I know, nerdy, but can you imagi...

Re: Downtown Baseball Stadium
That grass field + parking lot to the north is owned by the city. So it's very likely that it could be handed over to developers for the stadium. I wonder if they'd be able to bury a parking garage underneath that block. Then maybe they could do an underground tunnel to the stadium like they have wi...

Re: Downtown Baseball Stadium
I’m very curious how these plans would sit with MoDOT. It seems like the city is in favor of converting those streets to 2-way. MoDOT seriously has to improve access on the east side of the loop. It’s the shortest system-to-system interchange distance in the loop and has a multiple interchanges with...

What's the bare minimum in terms of footprint? Seems Fenway in Boston has a tiny footprint. With the Missouri Board of Education Building being taken out, there are two square blocks immediately north of Sprint Center that are almost totally vacant. The location is ideal but is it large enough? Wit...

Re: Downtown Baseball Stadium
The southwest boulevard site doesn’t look super promising. I don’t think there’s enough there to make a move from the K worth it. It’s like a mile away from the crossroads streetcar stop. A ballpark there would be too far from downtown to take advantage of all of the existing parking infrastructure....

Re: New Broadway Bridge
My top priority, watching this project unfold, is removing the north loop. At the very least they need to make it much more compact and have less exits, like the south loop. But I think I’d be much better to reconnect the street grid with a boulevard. Maybe they could use the trench for buried parki...
