The doubling up of signs and "non-traditional" signage is pretty confusing, I agree.

Re: New Chiefs Stadium
With Clark Hunt saying he talked to John Sherman and the two teams are going their separate ways on stadium efforts, and the fact Hunt said a new stadium (open air or domed) is being considered, it'll be interesting to see what happens. He remains open to Kansas as an option. Things are still early...

They don't issue those anymore but they can't take them away. Oh that is interesting. Do you know roughly when that began, I had no idea but I think it is a good idea. As I get (slightly) older I increasingly realize that the adage "nothing good happens after midnight (or 2am or whatever)"...

Broadway is a funny street. If you come into downtown from the northland across the Buck O'Neil Bridge, in the space of just under five miles you drive on six differently-named segments without making a right or left turn. - Broadway - West Pennway - Penn Valley Dr (signed as Broadway, but KCMO Par...

That vote shows what happens when a fleshed out plan isn't presented to voters. S clear message and full plan wins that vote easily. Many things brought up here were left half ass answered and voters don't like that. This isn't the doing of some group like KC tenants but of course they will try and...

Can we agree that the proposed signage is pretty garish? Otherwise, looks like a nice project. I hadn't realized the building was so empty.

Re: Downtown Baseball Stadium
So stadium related developments east of Oak are dead for now? Would be a mistake to still not buy up a large amount of the property over there and plan some things. There are sites for two big buildings and a series of smaller gaps for smaller buildings. I will be with John Sherman later tonight an...

Those numbers would generally be considered full occupancy. Might want a year to make sure people aren't going from one and two to three as their leases expire. One would worry me the most at this point. They might have to do some midlife work on that because it's rough. Wouldn't be surprised to se...

The new designs of BAP always show the plaza descending down to grade in front of Municipal Auditorium. With its massive limestone wall, I think there should be a permanent "Art on the Mart" style projection show, like they have on the riverwalk in Chicago. It brings people out! https://w...
