Last I knew 10th and main was going to be a greenspace?
Nope.
Any legit plans to build something?

Otherwise, they may as well keep the fountain and nice trees.
I think the fountain will stay on long-term.

Isn’t Kemper gone? Thought he was now working in DC?
I should have been more specific. This would be Jonathan, not Crosby.

Re: OFFICIAL - Embassy Suites (former Federal Reserve)

When walking by it looks like more of the stonework on the corner of the building is shifting and becoming loose. Not good. https://i.imgur.com/J2j7tyJ.jpg Might recommend a 311 request to get the city to take a look. Last time that was quite a chunk that fell and did some real damage to the pedest...

Last I knew it was slated for development. Mr. Kemper is about the only person I'm aware requesting greenspace.

Re: Status and future of the River Market area??

For those that have seen the reopened Walnut street through the City Market in person, what are your thoughts on the large new City Market sign and seating infrastructure on the north side? I'm a bit surprised they went with the modern, lime green design vs. a more traditional bookend to the classi...

I like how they've incorporated every facade material available onto one project. Figure out which one people like and then can spread that to the whole structure eventually. Smart.

Positive thing is those are an easy add if additional funds are found down the line. Does the city market have a CID?
Yes, it has a CID that is part of the Downtown CID.

Re: Next Mayor 2019

Thanks for the clarification normalthings. Seems odd to only list her as a grad student if she has (substantial) real world experience. She's obviously inexperienced, generic, and typical. Likely won't contribute much dynamic and original thinking to the mix. What a weird ass thing to say. Consider...

Tried the little store in North KC today. What a great little diner/deli. I love that it's on a side street basically in the middle of neighborhood. I wish KC/Midtown had something like this; low priced, home style type food.
What's this now?

Re: OFFICIAL - Waddell & Reed - 14th & Baltimore

"Construct concrete superstructure and foundation" plan version 4 failed this week in part because additional permits/documents needed for the new public space improvements (14th street). Is this a new avenue in which to push back on the streetscape design? I haven't heard anything, but fingers cro...
