Re: New Chiefs Stadium

I would support something on the outskirts of downtown if they for some reason verify TSC is in shambles structurally. Or if they simply came out and said they have no interest in TSC anymore and a move was 100% going to happen, but that also opens the window for Kansas and I'll fight that with my p...

Re: OFFICIAL - Waddell & Reed - 14th & Baltimore

And if H&R hadn’t backstabbed the one developer doing things to partner with one not doing crap, we’d probably have seen plans for a hotel where the proposed strata is by now.

Re: New Chiefs Stadium

The chiefs currently utilize every bit of the surface parking at tsc on game days. A move closer to public transportation would have a fractional impact on surface lot needs.

Re: New Chiefs Stadium

The Chiefs would need a massive plot of land at least 8 million square feet. There’s just no reason to leave TSC. They don’t have an attendance problem like the royals and they don’t have a revenue “problem” per say, they just don’t have enough premium ticket options and suites. Location wise, it do...

This is right, but it also complicated. Everyone knows that SKC is looking at eventually moving downtown.
Why didn't SKC come downtown in the first place?
Kansas gave them everything and a happy ending to land it over there. It's a stepping stone stadium.

Are they gonna cover the garage? it's exposed on Main St side
Yes, gets wrapped in same material as south side.

Re: New Chiefs Stadium

If the Chiefs keep the Arrowhead structure and just build around/on top of it- how much money would that save over a full rebuild? It better be alot to be worth it. Cost to keep Arrowhead and modernize would probably be 80% of the cost to build new at the highest. The renovations needed are extensi...

I think it’s going to be spectacular at Union Station. Couldn’t be more excited. Knowing Kansas City, the streets will be full the entire time, streetcar running, CC full and hopefully beautiful weather. Will be hearing for months how surprising great KC is, just like when the ASG came to town. We ...

Re: Downtown Baseball Stadium

I like the many and varied districts and areas of KC. I like that depending on what type of experience I want I can choose to spend time in Crossroads, River Market, West Bottoms, 39th Street, Westport, NKC, etc. KC being extremely easy to navigate means all the major neighborhoods and districts ca...

Re: New Chiefs Stadium

Good point but here's the plan. Jackson country sells TSC to the state, once state owned we can get state funding much more sufficient than at the country level. This also shows Missouri's commitment and puts the Kansas legislators where they belong.

Re: New Chiefs Stadium

Who owns the wooded land just south of TSC bordering Raytown rd anyone know? Acquiring that land would probably put the site at over 500 acres! According to parcel viewer it's Jackson County who owns everything south of the complex down to Raytown Rd. Adding up the acreage comes to right around 117...

Re: NFL Draft

I understand your point, but it's not happening with the rapid growth of the event. With it expanding each and every year, the league would not go backward and downsize the event. Nor would we want them to. As DColeKC mentioned just prior, this event really is about not only the tens of millions in...

Inside union station isn’t big enough by a long shot to hold just the draft portion. It’s larger than the theater in NYC where it was held for decades with no issues. Sure, you want to involve many more people, but most all are going to see this via video board anyway. Make the grand hall the inner...
