Damn Dave! Turn down the exposure a bit! ;)

Must have got that picture right as the sun was beating down on the building.

Re: OFFICIAL: Power & Light District

Walnut would be for Spark and other various projects taking place. Unlikely the entire lane would be utilized. 13th is probably for Sinkers Lounge buildout. Not sure on the Grand permit. We used to request and pay for blanket permits for walnut and grand when I was there so we could utilize closures...

I'll say again. It's half assed. It only covers half of the parking floors along Baltimore.
Looked as if they'll all be covered, but I wasn't completely focused.

Noticed yesterday they’re working on installing the parking garage panels.
There's photos on the previous page
Missed those. Saw it and remember it being a point of discussion in this thread.

Sure, but could we re-open the sidewalk perhaps? I can't socially distance on a two-foot sidewalk.
Seriously. I don't know how anyone enjoys that patio anyway?

Mexican is my bet.
I wish! But, not what I’m hearing at the moment.

I’d like to see a Mexican restaurant go in a combined famous Daves and Bar Louie.

Re: OFFICIAL: Power & Light District

I don't see Flying Saucer opening back up sadly. The staff at Flying Saucer was told today that it will not be reopening, so this has moved past the rumor stage. As someone who spent...way too much time there over the past decade, this hurts, but isn't terribly surprising. The writing was on the wa...

Re: OFFICIAL: Power & Light District

I didn't ask them to change. It does not have any atmosphere though. Good for cordish. Yeah.... I get that. As someone that frequents the place Vs someone who has likely been in there a handful of times, I disagree about the vibe of the place. For example, have you ever been in there on a Friday or...

Re: OFFICIAL: Power & Light District

i have a hard time believing saucer's concept or decor are dealbreakers when we've heard it on good authority that goddamn pizza bar is raking it in. It's pizza.... Not to hard to do, especially when you're pumping out $3 slices all night long and the profit margin on pizza is ridiculous. Flying Sa...

Re: OFFICIAL: Power & Light District

agreed with respect to the ability to get a decent craft beer at most places. if it's gone, i will miss saucer in that it's the only tolerable place in p&L where you can always get an interesting craft beer, or where you can count on enough of a rotation to not be stuck drinking the same thing ever...

Re: OFFICIAL: Power & Light District

they better give me my plate then I’m sure they would. Less stuff to go in the dumpster and you helped them stay open this long. The concept, decor etc has been outdated for years. Can we take out the patio so that sidewalk is passable again? It is way to narrow for the amount of foot traffic in th...

Ghost town around the district these days. No surprise, but hourly staff has been laid off with two weeks pay and will have jobs waiting when this opens back up. I don't see Flying Saucer opening back up sadly.

Re: Fast Food Options

It would be amazing if we could set up one of these downtown during the lunch and dinner hours. Maybe an unused private ally or parking lot could be repurposed for a few hours a day. It could also be spun as a way to allow smaller business owners and entrepreneurs a way to participate in the growth...

Re: Capping the Loop

13th where the closures start goes one way west. The simplest path is to use Main if Walnut is gone If Walnut ends at the park, it would be more likely that they start closing that street for events next to the P&L District instead of Grand....an added plus. Interesting thought. Grand is used often...

Re: Capping the Loop

Except grand gets closd whenever cordish feels like it Yeah, to put on events for downtown residents and to encourage non-downtown residents to visit downtown. They don't just close it for the hell of it. They also have to pay to close it and spend hundreds of thousands putting on public events out...

Yeah there is a lot of rendering porn in there. No way it's programmed that amenity heavy.
It's looking more and more like Cordish and Loews will be mostly financing this. So it will be amenity heavy. Notice the dog park for example.

I don't either but that's been the discussion within NCAA. So far they plan to move forward but they said could change within a week.
It's mainly a discussion from the players association. Of course the NCAA has to play nice in these soft times.
