Already know more details about the Chicago Bears news stadium announced today and ever did about Royals plan, just for an idea of how proper new stadium plans get announced. Also they are funding 70% of it themselves. And Bears are getting the same pushback the Royals/Chiefs did (on social media)....

Re: T-Mobile Center (formerly Sprint Center)
So just using numbers from 2024, you would add 41 (actually typically more including preseason and playoff games). Lets round to 70 for a high-performing peer and 60 for a low-performing arena in games + concerts. KC: 43 concerts, 26 Big 12 games and KC is already about tied with an NBA or NHL city...

Re: Downtown Baseball Stadium
The Royals allowed a pro-life group who advocates and spreads info about birth centers.... How dare they make sure women who are pregnant have safe options to give birth! Easily the stupidest thing I've seen posted here, bravo I've also heard Vitale Foundation ads on the Mizzou radio network, but n...

with remote work, how much of the federal building is occupied? and hasn't the amount space occupied in the AT&T building been downsized? 70-80%ish. They’ve consolidated a few mish mashed agencies to the offices in the past few years. Also the Army corps seems to have expanded their footprint i...

Re: Downtown Baseball Stadium
if/wherever new stadiums are built in/outside of the region, will it be with public money approved by the local voters or just the elected officials of the local jurisdictions?

Re: New Chiefs Stadium
KCTenants absolutely has a good amount of power in this city. Especially with young black and progressive voters, which is a large part of the voters in Jackson Co. will they try to find someone to primary Cleaver in 2026? could they find someone to win the Democratic primary for a statewide office?

Re: Downtown Baseball Stadium
In a rare alignment, I agree with GRID. I think downtown baseball is dead here. The only possible path forward I could see is if KCMO cuts JaxCo out, and passes the same 3/8th cent tax in the city, with a promise to move the Chiefs to the Northland and the Royals downtown, including significant par...

I assume that Pete Mundo is pals with Jeff Roe thinking KC Tenants and Sunrise Movement KC would push anti-tax conservatives to yote yes, we can expect them to be a big issue in the MO GOP GOV primary is Jeff Roe is still finding work Pete Mundos was against the stadium tax he said he took no posit...

Re: Downtown Baseball Stadium
Already told my friend group I foresee a bidding war between Kansas and Texas for the Chiefs. I don't see Clark Hunt caring about the team in KC at all. You guys need to take a Xanex. The Chiefs and Royals aren't leaving town. They sell out every game with tickets going for huge premiums over other...
