Re: Future Stadium Plans: Chiefs and Royals

Average Royals ticket price was $32 in 2019. Tickets bounced around $19 for years before the 2014 season. Seems like average attendance across the league has foundered and declined over the last years so I went with the the 2019 Royals average. Construction Cost: $670 million Project Cost with finan...

Re: OFFICIAL: Port Authority Riverfront Project

Super easy to replace and a lot that wasnt going to be redeveloped this decade. How do you know that? An RV was blown up in that area last week. What? If there was a good chance that there was a higher and better use likely in the coming years, Port KC wouldn’t be building soccer fields on it. June...

Re: We are getting a new airport!!!

One station built on the north side of the terminal garage, one stop at a new economy lot, one stop at the rental car facility. A maintenance yard would be constructed near Terminal C. Map is blurry but shows switch’s and individual tracks. I think the train yard would have to be elevated. https://i...

Re: OFFICIAL: Port Authority Riverfront Project

That burned-out RV is like what you'd see on an episode of Mr. InBetween on FX, or Breaking Bad. haha. I'm very disappointed with the way Berkley is being developed. It could have been so much better, and denser. It's not remotely walkable. Well, I guess you can walk around that area, but it's not ...

Re: Hotel Overbuilding?

I have been impressed by how busy some of the larger downtown hotels have been this summer. I am starting to think that another “large hotel” would only help us attract even more events boosting existing hotels as much as filling a second new large hotel. A Hyatt or Hyatt Regency would be good to ha...

Re: Capping the Loop

IMHO. Forest Park is way to big for what and where it is. Berkley may end up providing most “big” park amenities that downtown needs. Will still need smaller parks in Crossroads, Southloop, and Northloop

Re: Capping the Loop

I think it would be great if we had a real downtown park like most great cities have (i.e. Central Park, Golden Gate Park, Forrest Park, Balboa Park, Denver Park, etc.) because I really do think it would be used alot, just as the parks in those cities are. If you're really concerned about the fisca...

Re: OFFICIAL: Port Authority Riverfront Project

Seams like a placeholder. Easy to build on if the demand is there. Super easy to replace and a lot that wasnt going to be redeveloped this decade. An RV was blown up in that area last week. We need eyes and development today to keep the area safe and comfortable. This achieves that while providing ...

Re: KCMO Downtown Streetcar

Will there be an LCD map in the vehicles in the future?

Lack of full signal priority keeps speeds down significantly during events and peak ridership times. Any indication the nee city manager woukd be onboard with unlocking that feature?
