Re: Downtown Baseball Stadium

If the city is going to give money for the stadium and development it needs to be structured to incentivize more development. If they give more upfront money, the later pieces have a likelihood of being cut. It has to be a carrot to entice more. I disagree. The development will come regardless of t...

Re: KC metro growth and migration stats

KC job growth rate is really slowing. Wonder what’s up with that.

I’m conceptually against having no-income tax at the state level but it would clearly help our population and job growth rates. I wonder if you could offer a rebate to in-state residents?

Re: The Midland Lofts (formerly Midland Office Building)

Wanna hear something wild? The Midland Lofts website says 53 apartments are available of the 135 being built. Already 60% leased if that's the case. Could they open with a 90%+ occupancy number? Are these the P&L District "affordable" units? If so, shows there is a market for that in ...

Doesn't sound good. Reasoning?
Economics for a developer to build an arena on their own dime and you renting it for very little a few days a year just doesn’t work

Going from Austin to our airport today. At least we have something over them. That airport always feels claustrophobic, dark, and dated. Isn’t a big chunk of that airport basically a huge atrium with 3 story high ceilings? I never got dark or dated from it personally. https://guidetoaustinarchitect...
