Re: Downtown Baseball Stadium

Could this guy's opinion be colored by the Bravo failure? No doubt, phoning in from westchester nonetheless  . But I think his point remains valid. The guy tried to put all his money on the line for a project he thought would boost KC to the next level, in the industry area he had an expertise...

Yep. A couple TIF commissioners blew up the incentives request saying they wanted another but-for analysis based on changes in the development program, that force the funding to not be closed as planned in 2023. https://www.bizjournals.com/kansascity/news/2023/11/15/14-wyandotte-lux-living-tif-comm...

Re: NE Corner of 14th & Wyandotte (300 unit apartment)

Well. Two months after bids were due, and nothing yet (either behind the scenes that I’m aware of or public). Not worried, yet. If there was a buyer out there, Hilco would have found it. Hopefully by June or July we will have an announcement with actual legitimate financing. Money is beginning to m...

Re: Hospital Hill activity

I sunshined the RFP earlier, I'll post it when I get it. Sure it's available to some ($$) bid platforms. (No idea why City can't upload all RFPs to the open data platform for keeping, KCMO has gone quite downhill on that front.) they post them for free to bonfire or plan room. Just require a free a...

Origin Hotel agreement. City is locked up until 2025, or 28, or 30. Forget what its based on. Think its 300 rooms and up too

Re: Rail to KCI - 2023

KCNRR expansion is about to kick off with City and BNSF support. This abuts the old St. Joe Interurban ROW. Given how cheaply St. Louis is building LRT on grass, just $20 million a mile, it makes me hopeful we can reactivate this corridor for future transit to the airport. Anyways, here is what KCNR...

Re: Hospital Hill activity

KC development proposals are heating up again. It’s good to see. Need to get done Q should have been trying to pull Oracle to Kansas City instead of Nashville. A good chunk of their employees are former Cerner people but we still can't beat out Tennessee. Apparently, this doesn't describe Kansas Ci...

Total park space is increasing by 2-3 acres

St Louis is hitting the 1 year under construction mark on their 5 mile extension to Mid America airport. 5+ miles for $98 million. Mostly just unused land that was graded with a few bridge works. I think this can help serve as an example of how to do Waldo on a budget https://www.stltoday.com/news/...
