Re: New Chiefs Stadium

A stadium like the Manica design would give the Hunts of Dallas status down there and equality with Jerry World. With the fixed roof, well the NFL owes the Hunt legacy a Superbowl. Will the state of Kansas stipulate a name change to the Kansas Chiefs or the Kansas City KS Chiefs? The Kansas Dome? I...

Re: New Chiefs Stadium

With Clark Hunt saying he talked to John Sherman and the two teams are going their separate ways on stadium efforts, and the fact Hunt said a new stadium (open air or domed) is being considered, it'll be interesting to see what happens. He remains open to Kansas as an option. Things are still early...

Re: Live Nation Amphitheater

Its moving forward - Phase 1 was to build the surcharge pad - due to the crappy soil. Surcharge wont be completed until September... Phase 2 which is some parking lots should begin shortly and Phase 3 the actual Amphitheater won't start until Mid September. Live Nation being sued by the DOJ may but...

Missouri doesn't have a great record of fighting to keep NFL teams.
They did fight but lost the battle

Re: World Cup 2026 at Arrowhead?

why would KC drop out of 2031? We would regress as a host city for women's WC & women's soccer in general by 2031? Obviously some advantages for 2027 with men's WC having been hosted the year before. But I would think focusing on 2031 would allow the US to better prepare their bid. Just curious...

US dropped its bid for women’s WC 2026 and will shift to 2031 but instead. Pretty likely KC drops out of the running now

Well done Jackson County, well done. You even fucked over Worlds of Fun because you showed how weak and easy you are to just pilfer from. WoF is in Clay County and the Mattel Park in KCK will be tiny compared to it. How many privately owned amusement parks are built with tax money? I can only think...

Kansas offering to finance 100% both stadiums with STAR bonds. How can either team pass this up? I'm not sure I'm reading this correctly...are you saying that Kansas is currently offering this? Or just speculating. Bill may pass as soon as tonight per kmbc Wyandotte County is planning a major amuse...

UMB’s acquisition of a Denver regional bank will propel the new firm to top 50 largest US banks. In terms of bank assets right above John Deere and BNP Paribas. Slightly behind CIBC, Western Bank, and Raymond James.

I just looked up attendance out of curiosity. Cardinals rank 6th in MLB with average of 37k. Royals are averaging 15k per game and rank 28th in the MLB for attendance. https://www.espn.com/mlb/attendance I said in person attendance. They’ve had alot of pretty empty days, not that we don’t either. Y...

We just don't have recent examples to point to showing how certain markets losing a major franchise can be severely detrimental to that city and region. I guess we could be one of those examples to prove that for most markets, the tax payer helping pay for these things is worth every penny. Has St ...

but Oakland is more comparable to our market. They’re already seeing the impact and I’m sure it will only get worse. What kind of impact are you talking about? And BTW Oakland also lost the NBA Golden State Warriors a few years ago. IIRC, they were the first city to loose a team in every major leag...
