Land is under contract, proponent anticipates a call for development proposals. Lawyer representing Emprise Bank (Wichita-based) appeared in support and to state their "great interest in making a large investment in this block." #bankroads CPC denied blight designation. I'd recommend peop...

Re: New Riverfront Women's Soccer Stadium
Yeah, a lot of undue negativity here in my opinion. $120M isn't that much for a stadium these days. Children's Mercy Park would probably be well over $300M if built today and people's expectations might be skewed by it. While CMP is on the small side and it lacks some more modern designs you see in...

$1billion for an NBA arena. $2-3 for an NFL stadium. Current is peanuts in size or cost

Re: OFFICIAL - Main Street Streetcar Extension
The northbound Union Station stop will be activated this fall as part of the rail tie-in to the Main Street Extension. There will be a system outage during this period, covered by a three-vehicle bus bridge (most 'emergency' bus bridges are two vehicles). This new stop will include the new cellular...

Re: OFFICIAL - Loews Convention Hotel (formerly Hyatt)
Hope they do OK. Seems to be kind of a saturated market in KC. It will compete directly with the place in the P&L District. I feel like our high end (expense check) steakhouse market maybe the lowest it's ever been in KC. 801, Capital, and I guess Stockhill? Don't forget Pierponts. Ocean Prime ...

Besides 50+ years of history and both teams having “Kansas City” in their official names… the loss of tax revenue. The loss of synergy with KC etc. Shooting for gold, which is downtown baseball and ending up with suburban baseball- Travesty. Trying to extend the life of one of the most iconic NFL s...

Re: KCI Flight Schedule Adjustments
I noticed at Big 12 Tourney that KU is playing in Mexico City in December, KCI officials should give incentives for this route as a nonstop route maybe seasonal a few days a week. AeroMexico codeshares with Delta, Mexico City opens up a lot of One Stop service to Mexico, Central and South America. ...

Grand currently closed for the big12 as we approaching rush hour, Oak is essentially bumper to bumper traffic through the area. I feel as though many of the SFHs around 39th could use replacing. I’m not saying a new 2+5 but at least some walk ups or row homes. The housing stock is not always in great shape. similar to north plaza in that regard
