Does anyone know what this obelisk-looking building was on Jefferson Street? It looks like it was torn down between 2007-2008 https://www.google.com/maps/@39.0917396,-94.5922818,3a,75y,96.57h,98.13t/data=!3m7!1e1!3m5!1soiMvlLV6YRDfcpjir1hTbw!2e0!5s20071001T000000!7i3328!8i1664 https://kcrag.com/vie...

Re: Bryant Building
I stumbled across these historic photos online. What's really cool is that it was the tallest building in Kansas City at the time of construction and that it only took a mere 7 months to complete. It also was so large that it needed its own power substation in the sub basement in order to provide en...

It looks like the Louis Curtiss house is back on the market. Sad to see the previous buyer hasn't done too much except gutting. $400k seems a lot for just a shell.

Re: Bannister Mall/Cerner
A larger issue is a majority of Cerner's employee's (especially the ones at this campus) are young professionals or new grads straight out of college. They're young, no families, dealing with student loans, and they sure as hell don't want to buy a house in Raytown. They want apartment living that h...

On the topic of tall buildings in STL, I was looking at apartments downtown and came across this rendering below. It's in Soulard and the arch/building placement is all wrong, but are there legitimate talks of office towers this tall? They dwarf One Metropolitan Square. https://i.imgur.com/xnsarHZ.p...

Does anyone know when the last 10+ story, or even 5+ story built in downtown was? It seems like this is the biggest and the only development in Downtown STL that I can think of.

All that old telco equipment probably ran pretty hot. Actually, this building more than likely housed nothing but workers. All the teclo equipment would've been down the street in the long lines building https://long-lines.net/places-routes/Kansas_City_MO/1425_Oak_St_KC_MO_Completed_Relay_Tower-A.j...

Re: Cambria Hotel(SW Corner of 9th & Wyandotte)
Was there a streetcar on Wyandotte then? They're redoing the water main lines on that street and you can see old rails that they've dug up. I can only assume it's from the streetcar.
