Re: Streetcar to the riverfront

Spoke to Donna at the tent the streetcar had setup at the groundbreaking. She said this was the most updated graphics they had, and reflects the station stop location in its final spot. They will no longer be reworking the 3rd & Grand stop (funding) and will only have a center(?) stop for NB goi...

Re: New Riverfront Women's Soccer Stadium

Main takeaways from tonight’s ground breaking: KC has some folks that absolutely love this city, and they’re doing the work to prove it. The density of people on the riverfront tonight is a pretty good indicator of how it’ll Be for games. https://i.imgur.com/KrPNLXy.jpg Traffic wasn’t terrible, and ...

Id imagine that issue gets solved when the riverfront extension comes to fruition. Straightlining seems to speed up operations significantly

They’re very much mode agnostic until after they hear from preferences of the community. So SC isn’t a guarantee

Unsure if this is the official thread or not, but couldn’t find anything with ‘official’ tag connected. Noticed the information booth on the western side of the grand hall has been removed. Unsure if this is permanent or not, but they have the area roped off (see below). Anyone have any info? https:...

Meet up following E-W SC meeting Tuesday, Oct 4th?

An idea was tossed around, and seemed like a good few of us were going, so I thought I should put this in the top of the thread. The meeting ends at 8, so figured we could all meet up for a beer afterwords. Oak and steel was tossed out as an idea. I’ve not been yet, so was keen on trying it out, but...

Re: Bike Lanes

In addition to improving connectivity of the existing bike lane network, I'd like to see the city eventually pick a couple neighborhoods that spur off that network and put bike lanes on every other road in a grid for half a square mile or so, and then expand from there. Create some good biking oasi...

Re: Poll: Does the Plaza need a drastic change, some change or on the right path?

I think it needs to be a mix of both options 2 and 3. Agreed. Pedestrianized space would be nice, but honesty lighter eat options would be solid too. Took a buddy around down there when he was in town, and honestly it was really hard to find a quick lunch place down there. Ended up getting a full m...
