Re: KCI Flight Schedule Adjustments

plus side is we're building it right for the next 60 years. i doubt we'll have too much of a problem once its open, at least in helping airlines to take advantage of our geographical position.

That show is excellent! Makes me want to go back to Italy right now (if only).
Less desirable than you might think rn, the Italian gov still have it locked down EXTREMELY tight here. Without COVID though, it’s great for sure!

There's a reason virtually every city in Europe has at least one major pedestrian street.
Because they were organically developed well before the personal automobile and don’t have as lenient of eminent domain laws (if at all) apples to oranges type of comparison

The twittersphere is absolutely pissed with the bridge design. Some 40 replies to KCMODOT page. Any chance that the backlash opens up public comment window again?

Re: Phase 2 streetcar to UMKC

Update: Any new money you see tied to the COVID relief bill is simply advancing funds that have already been committed for the project. It would not reduce the local commitment, just speed up the federal funding available to the project. Any chance on that accelerating the timeline? Or is that more...

Love the use of this space that is just an empty lot rn, however, really hate the amount of parking included, especially If the Northrail is gaining more traction right now.

Or Rock Wool The picture on this site is a close match to the terminal picture. https://www.rosewoolinsulation.com/industry-knowledge/the-difference-of-mineral-wool-and-rock-wool-18-05-19.html What makes me think it's not fiberglass is the lack of fluffiness. The outer edge of fiberglass is always ...

Does it have anything to do with the Office space utilizing the gym in the other building? I could see that as the only reasonable justification to it The skywalk connects the office space to the gym (an amenity space). Yes, should’ve clarified, I’m saying since those two items are connected, if th...

What’s the likelihood that KC begins to develop as a hub following the new terminal opening? Geographic position is an obvious advantage.

Wait so the pedestrian and bike areas are unprotected?
Looks like a low concrete wall, probably 3 or 4 foot. As long as it’s a permanent instillation and not a Jersey Barrier line I’ll be happy

KC is well positioned to be an A220 focus city for JetBlue or Breeze. Less so for Delta due to their Detroit and Minneapolis hubs Is breeze still happening? They went quiet at the beginning of the pandemic. Just took delivery of another plane yesterday! That’s great news, they have what looks to be...

I'd love the chance to fly JetBlue. Their new Mint Studio and Mint Suite product for transatlantic flights looks very appealing. Not that I can afford to fly even JetBlue economy to London anytime soon, but it's fun to dream. KC is well positioned to be an A220 focus city for JetBlue or Breeze. Les...

Troost Village is the kind of investment that is positioned to turn a distressed neighborhood around. It is also the sort of investment that needs incentives and market-rate units to pencil out.
Stop using common sense, the council hates that.

However, StrongTowns I believe has articles indicating that denser neighborhoods of older, city center homes contribute more total taxes per sq. mile to a city's coffers than less dense suburban neighborhoods -- even newer ones. And of course fewer miles of infrastructure to maintain in denser area...
