If cordish wants to build a greenspace, let them!
Worth repeating.
Didnt cordish mention something about this earlier in the year, when asked about 3 light?

Re: Capping the Loop

Got to finally see Klyde Warren park down in Dallas this weekend, and if Kansas City never realizes the idea of putting a park over 670, it might be the most ass backwards decision this city ever makes. That was hands down the greatest piece of green space I’ve ever experienced in an urban environme...

What’s the timeline on submission for the Fed grant ? I remember reading somewhere that it was August, but I wasn’t sure if it was going to be the end of the month or not.

I think I may have said it elsewhere in this thread, but we really need a local non-profit competitor to the Star. Hire some of the diaspora. Near instant credibility.

Re: Cambria Hotel(SW Corner of 9th & Wyandotte)

Two new-build hotels along 9th Street in 100 years. This and the Hyatt House. 9th Street used to be the hotel district in the 1880s-1920s because of the streetcar lines on 8th and 9th streets from Union Depot in the West Bottoms. was that the streetcar line that ran through the tunnel to the WB?

I did. It was interesting. The 'exhibit' was set up on their computer screens. Cool little office.
I imagine, did they have much that hasn't been shown here? or more info on the background of some of the designs?

Re: Pursuing FREE City-Wide Bus

What thoughts/ideas do others have about free city-wide bus? Dave implied that KCATA is listening to us. Let's build up some momentum and keep this on their radar. Just for clarification, this would encompass all of the Ride KC bus fleet, even the ones operated in Johnson County and other suburbs? ...

I'm planning to go. Kinda disappointed it's only open for a 2-hour window! I'm planning my night around it accordingly.
Did you ever end up making it to the event?

Re: We are getting a new airport!!!

Happy KC is getting a modern airport that suits today's aviation needs. Very sorry to see a genius design retired and torn down. Was it the best in its time? I’d go with a No considering no others were built in its design and it was considered functionally out of date within 30 days of opening. I’d...

5. WW1 Museum to be handed over to the Smithsonian and US NPS. Groups who have the funds to better maintain and expand the museum. Yes! It's amazing what they did with the gateway arch in STL. That level of ambition and design is something the WWI Museum is desperately in need of. Before https://ww...

Re: Phase 2 streetcar to UMKC

To save someone the time of searching, he's referring to around file page 153. There's mockups of adding storage track and using the existing building for up to 15 trains (though the drawing looks to have 16) and one with an expanded building. I shouldve been clearer, but yes those are the mock ups...

An achievement I’d like to see that should be fairly realistic is filling in the river market. Zero surface lots
At the rate we're going with the development there, we might hit that by 2025. How far east are you talking when referring to zero surface lots?
