Re: Three Light

Was office population higher in the 1980’s? I could see that being possible. Downtown KC was pretty busy during the weekday in the late 80's and early 90's. It had a ton more office space and just people working there. Think about how many office buildings that were converted to residential. Fed Re...

Seems smart. The city council has too much oversight/control over airport operations.

Re: OFFICIAL - New KCI Terminal

Not in that biz at all but yeah I'd think you are right, capacity, customer satisfaction (which is why they never did here before), landing costs (ours will be higher than now but lower than other cities?), less cancellations (STL was 4%, KCI 3.39%, DEN 3.36% in 2021) https://www.insuremytrip.com/tr...

Re: OFFICIAL - New KCI Terminal

the popular assumption is SW would connect more people here (and away from like a Denver or STL). Probably about all that can be expected unless a new airline comes in or something like Alaska tries to expand east and wants to use us as a new connection point.

Re: Downtown Baseball Stadium

I have no doubt it's being considered, that is public knowledge. It's just a mistake and will negatively impact an already growing neighborhood and doesn't maximize the use of our established infrastructure.

Re: Bike Lanes

We have such a surplus of street infrastructure that is not used and caused unsafe speeds for peds/bikes/cars, if anything the road diet is making us all safer even if those bike lanes aren't used one time.

Re: Downtown Baseball Stadium

I still don’t see how the Crossroads east of Main, or especially east of Grand, is growing or thriving more than a trickle. All the new developments and energy is happening in the west side. East side is littered with surface lots and no plans to change it. You haven't been to east crossroads and t...

Re: Bike Lanes

Honest question. How do you bicycle folks get your way so often? I have eyes on our downtown bike lanes often and rarely see them in use. I have seen more use than ever before recently after Grand got done. They got the delineators installed today btw. Whatever tactics you all use to get things don...

Re: Downtown Baseball Stadium

Let’s just keep it boring and discuss the EV location. I’m sure the mayor won’t get his way anyway. I don't understand continuing to mention what the mayor wants? He doesn't own this city, is that supposed to provide validation to your opinion or something? Definitely great to bring baseball downto...

And I hope way more than 32k work downtown. That sounds like residents alone.
Yeah kinda dumb phrasing.
