Re: OFFICIAL - New KCI Terminal
Experienced the rental car facility for a drop off first time ever. It's nice but it seems way over engineered for what it is. Building was huge.
Hard to find the visitor parking lot too. Kinda weird.

Re: New downtown on street parking rolloout
^This is LAZ parking Dave? As in Alan and Marcia Lazowski of Hartford? My old neighbors LOL. They're also the company that privatized Chicago's parking. Get ready for costs to go up :') Yes, they won a competitive procurement to manage downtown KC parking. I think it also includes the garages, but ...

Re: Downtown Baseball Stadium
We've got one more season of Bally's at most, it might even collapse before then. Cable's dying anyways, I wouldn't be shocked to see MLB just bring everything not national in house & just remove the blackouts from their stuff. yeah that regional deals are horrible and MLB knows it. They just h...

Re: New downtown on street parking rolloout
but they are ticketing already? I don't know this I've not parked in these areas. IMO they shouldn't have opened up for payment until they are done either. Additionally those regulatory signs from the samples I've seen only say the days of week payment is required, not times. Also unnecessarily conf...

Re: New downtown on street parking rolloout
Had 6-8 different people yesterday meeting up in crossroads. All of them specialize in attention to detail. Not one of them realized the new parking signs meant they had to pay. Any notation of "paying" is in the smallest font on the new signs. Why didn't the signs say "# Hour Pay Par...

Re: Downtown Baseball Stadium
This mess is all on Frank White. Chiefs will remain at Arrowhead. Royals will end up downtown, Clay County can't get the vote and NKC can't afford them alone. Even if the county fails us like the fools they are, we have the city of Kansas City and the big dogs, the state of Missouri. Ok, going away...

It's touch and go on which permits have attachments. I assume the applicant can choose to hide attachments when submitting.

Re: Downtown Baseball Stadium
If I took an overhead of this crossroads area today and made it lower quality, we'd be on here bitching about urban renewal of the 50's and we can't believe we lost all that. Then imagine there is a plot of land empty less than 2000 feet to the north not having to lose anything. We'd lose our collec...

Re: Downtown Baseball Stadium
I'd like to see a way to preserve the length of buildings facing Grand from Truman to 16th, starting south of the drycleaner/Prime building. We have so few contiguous blocks of small buildings like that. Hate to lose it, but I feel like there is a way to maintain it and incorporate it. This stretch...

Re: Downtown Baseball Stadium
We've made this mistake decade after decade and bemoan our ancestors for doing it yet here we are wanting to commit the same crimes. I don't get it. I really don't. I'm not going to get into nit picking what business is what right now because that's a short term mindset that really doesn't matter to...

Re: OFFICIAL - Main Street Streetcar Extension
Not opposed to the "light touch" but it's largely ignored where it is now (bus only spots) and no enforcement to be found. If we are doing it, why not just do it throughout the entire route downtown where possible too?

Re: Downtown Baseball Stadium
If either team moves to Kansas, I'm done with KC. I will never give two shits about the city again. Mark this post... Chiefs I could live with, but if the Royals did? Then yeah, it's wayyyy over. For me it's Chiefs too. KCMO has been totally ravaged by Kansas over the past several decades and seein...

Re: New downtown on street parking rolloout
The app charges a service fee on top of the parking charge. Kiosks charge a minimum of 1 hour. How the heck can I play by the rules to run in and grab my to go order without paying a dollar for under 5 minutes of street parking? This is idiotic and goes the opposite of a stated goal of wanting to m...

Re: Downtown Baseball Stadium
Armory looks more like an indoor Pennway point. Let's not waste anymore time trying to make an comparisons. It's just not applicable. I also said the professionals disagree with you to AN EXTENT. For example you’re convinced EV and EC are no different in terms of distance from PNL. You don’t think ...

Re: New downtown on street parking rolloout
I saw a new confusion today. 10th and Walnut. A block marked "standard parking rate" by the new signs. App says can pay for an hour and past that says "see signs". I assume the app means the old signs which said one hour parking. Why not use the normal new 1 hour parking signs. N...

Re: Downtown Baseball Stadium
EV stadium site and p&l will absolutely compliment each other. It's laughable to think otherwise. People who get paid a lot of money and do this type of thing as a career disagree with you to an extent. They CAN compliment each other but that requires effort and some intervention on the cities ...
