Re: Power and Light District Official Tenant List

Spire projects are out of control and the city has little/no recourse. It's ridiculous. Plug in P&L address and look at the swaths of downtown they are "improving"

Re: 3rd & Grand to be redeveloped as TOD

If any more city built garages, it should be along the viaduct with a streetcar stop and/or near Bond Bridge exit. Would keep that many cars off downtown streets. And could lease to downtown residential buildings that have little/no parking. This would have made the riverfront extension make sense.

Yup I remember seeing that. Hopefully they can make it back. Need the bankers back in the office to float them at lunch.

Re: New Broadway Bridge

I honestly don't think anybody is insulting your comments. I guess if I want KC to focus more on recreation scene that focus should stay south of the river, connect the riverfront trail to actually stay on the riverfront (but it can't go much further west with the port there), into KCK, over to the ...

Re: Next Mayor 2019

according to @kcmikemahoney, bunch, o'neill, and robinson are boycotting today's T+I meeting until lucas removes loar from the committee chair post. i never understood why loar was the chair of that even before she came out as anti-pedestrian and racist. now i extra don't understand it. She's the c...

Re: New Broadway Bridge

My preference is an interesting bridge too. If MoDot would live up to their responsibilities maybe the KCMO add on could have made it pretty vs. making it even feasible.

Re: New Broadway Bridge

given the north end hasn't been designed yet let's just hold up on calling it a failure in 2020.

I'm sure there will be a lot of 5 year olds peddling over a half mile over the bridge.

There's no trail loop at the airport. People ride on the street. It' not nothing but it absolutely will just end at the northern end.
we all know this. I don't see a connection to the street loop as "it just ending"

Re: New Broadway Bridge

That's because they kept the old bridge! That would be awesome if KC did that. You guys are hung up on and just think I'm only talking about making the bridge pretty. You are missing the point. Is it really us getting hung up when this was the entire original post that got this going? So this is go...

Re: New Broadway Bridge

Well, I disagree with that. Sure, it will be an improvement, but making the bridge itself a destination and a must see part of a larger recreational network actually is a big deal and that's why nearly any new major bridge project that wants to be part of the urban fabric of a city more than anothe...

Re: New Broadway Bridge

That would include bike lanes on Broadway, This isn't part of our defined bike network so that's not happening. That said a straight shot south off the bridge into the network say using like May would sure be nice. As of now it looks like it's been drawn to go onto 5th and then connect to the netwo...

Re: New Broadway Bridge

I see this as a huge improvement for recreation downtown. Making it have an interesting topside isn't going to make it more recreation friendly. So I guess I don't understand the rant.

Re: New Broadway Bridge

I never said I don't think there are reasons to cross the bridge by non-car. I literally said that was a requirement we all demanded.
