Such a bummer. It's getting harder to find a place that does really good Bao buns without being crazy overpriced.

Re: Politics

It seems like he's missed almost all state deadlines to appear on any ballots, but I'm sure he could still run as a write in? That could still be disruptive enough to push Trump to victory. Didn't he admit to being Bi-polar? Maybe he'll change his mind tomorrow. Being bi-polar has nothing to do wit...

I think we’ll collectively forget about it in a week. A month at the latest. He "declared" he was running for President the same way Michael Scott declared bankruptcy. He's passed a lot of filing deadlines and is pretty clearly not *actually* running for anything. I doubt anybody cares about this b...

Re: Politics

What's everyone's thoughts on this Kayne West for President spectacle? Typically not a conspiracy guy but can't help to think this is some kind of play to get Biden less votes only to help Trump? I think we’ll collectively forget about it in a week. A month at the latest. He "declared" he was runni...

Re: COVID19

IS there anything in our constitution that defines what type of economy we have to run? There's not an explicit capitalism provision, no. But to the extent that the government would need to get increasingly involved in the regulation of private entities, that involvement would need to be reasonably...

I would imagine it’s low vacancy rate and prestigious tenants makes it a non-target for firms like Somera Road.

Do we know if executive hills owns & operates 1KCP or just operates?
Owns and operates.

Re: COVID-19 Casualties

I'm going to say that if someone closed because of COVID and never reopened we should track them here. Adding Bar Louie. Which location? P&L one closed before. P&L closed Jan. 24 because the chain went bankrupt, so yeah before the order or even when restaurants started switching to carry out. Repla...

Re: COVID19

Someone on this board had said anecdotally that StL wasn't doing much in the way of social distancing early on. We are very fortunate that our metro got out in front of this in a unified way. That and KC metro hospitals aren't regularly reporting positive COVID cases. They are urged to do so by the...

Re: COVID19

I’d prefer taking a chance of a quick death from COVID than a slow death from poverty. Just saying Some people prefer not to be sacrificed for the economy Plus, NOBODY is as good at social distancing as they think they are. If they were, we wouldn't be seeing spreads in nursing homes or in jails/pr...

Re: Black leaders seek to rename Paseo to MLK Blvd

The New York Times article I read last night made me so unreasonably angry. A black pastor accusing black people who supported this decision of just "not prioritizing racial justice". What a bunch of stupid hot bullshit. I can't take it with this City sometimes.

I guess it could be a 5-story, 1000 space garage w/ a 12 story building on top. That wouldn't surprise me.
In the EEZ presentation, their attorney said it's projected to be up to 15 floors (including the parking garage).

Looks like someone took a baseball bat to the glass on the stop at 12th and McGee. Panels on each side are completely spiderwebbed.

The previous owner had found that it would be cheaper to replace the building than to rehab it... Yeah, I’m going to call BS on that. Now, the value to them is obviously more as an empty lot. But, if the goal of development DT is new residents, it is cheaper per new resident to rehab the existing b...

Curious what they'll do with the rest of the building. Can't imagine that firm needs 8 floors. Room for growth I suppose!
That would be a lot of growth for a 20 attorney firm
Maybe the floors are real small!
I'm gunna now go out on a limb and say that my source may be incorrect.

So I work at Burns & Mac, and I guess we are involved and have started working on some amount of design. My source says it is an 8 story building for a law firm that is relocating from the plaza area.
I've heard it's Stueve Siegel relocating.

Re: Politics

What is the likelihood that the House is able to pass this? Pretty certain? I know Parsons said that they were around one vote shy of passage as of last night--how true is that?
