Every place I’ve lived at in recent memory has required me to show proof of insurance prior to move in and be listed as an interested party so they’d know if you cancel.
I’m sure it’s not the hardest thing to get around, but just surprised me to read.

Re: OFFICIAL: Professional Building
That’s awful for the people there. Is it normal for places to not require rental insurance?
Would not have saved them, but could have helped.

Re: We are getting a new airport!!!
I know it’s not all we dreamed of, but this is easily the project in kc I’m most excited for. So happy we got it done pre-covid. I really want to see more interior renderings. My big worry is that it’s going to be too narrow like midway. I had to fly recently for the first time in awhile so was pay...

Re: Downtown Baseball Stadium
The East Village is 8th to 12th, Cherry to Charlotte. 8 city blocks The city owns ~2.75 blocks. For well under 1/2 of the land in the district. No one in the district owns a majority Block 66 is also the city. Only if the city is secretly the full owner of an outside company. They're buying for the...

Re: Downtown Baseball Stadium
I recommended “temporary parks” for outdoor dining and ground level restaurants and bars when the stadium isn’t being used, and a club level where you could dine year around with view of the fountains. Maybe season ticket holders get a discount? And of course a museum and a store on the ground level...

Re: Downtown Baseball Stadium
I respect his thoughts and probably half agree. The reality is that the redevelopment isn’t happening though. Part of this is because people are banking the land. I think there is an opportunity to rethink what a stadium can be, both in size and in different uses when games aren’t being played. And ...

The person in here has shown reprehensible conduct for awhile, and it doesn’t reflect well on cordish and the people they choose to hire. I don’t work for Cordish and you know nothing about me based on a fucking Internet forum. Grow up. You also need to be reminded that this is a public forum where...

Bluestem is closing 12/19. on the rumor mill- Betty Rae's (Not exactly COVID related). The betty Rae's in River Market. Waldo or both? All of them from the rumors I’ve heard. Owner alleged of domestic violence and being creepy to the younger staff. Opening back up under new ownership which is great...

Re: KCI Flight Schedule Adjustments
Hmm, was their previous lga flight also an e75? It’s been so long I can’t remember.
Anyway, two is better than zero. That 11:20 flight will actually be convenient for me occasionally. Hopefully don’t have to grab the 6:30am one often.

They had a significant problem pre-pandemic with a big amount of their apartments being rented out as Airbnb, short stays, and even partnered with them to make it easier. If you ever visited, they would always have lock boxes on the door or doors with number keypads instead of real keys. I highly d...

Re: COVID19
Dave is right here again. A lot of those early trials that showed the highest efficacy did so before the vaccines started to mutate into current forms. I don’t believe we’ve seen ongoing reports of their true efficacy other than they produce antibodies still. mRNA is easier to adapt to mutations qui...

Re: OFFICIAL - Loews Convention Hotel (formerly Hyatt)
Most of you are missing a lot of details that these conferences have to consider. 1) when you get above a certain amount of people for an event, they do things outside of that event that will still cause problems that they can’t control. Health department cares about this 2) the company can’t contro...

For me outdoor finish, outdoor space, and a pretty open plan. I agree with high ceilings too.
I think your prices are about right.

Re: OFFICIAL - Loews Convention Hotel (formerly Hyatt)
A lot of conferences can’t be done virtually. Maybe the continuing education stuff that are effectively just hotel bar tabs, but there are a lot where almost everything happens outside of the main events. Getting everyone together in a city allows a lot to go on that you can’t replicate. I don’t thi...

This is really cool, but they should have an airlock where the kids come out and are just soaked in disinfectant lol
