Re: KCMO Downtown Streetcar

Like some people have pointed out, if it’s to far away it’s easy to walk, but that isn’t true when it goes four miles

Re: KCMO Downtown Streetcar

What are the anticipated growth numbers for once the extension is online. I could see it tripling if they can keep the time under 15 minutes. I took it sometimes when I was downtown, but I probably would’ve gotten rid of my car if it existed when I still went to Umkc

Re: Companies moving downtown

I for aren’t even that concerned at the moment with all high rises in east village, I’d give anything to see East village and paseo west just be functional walkable parts of downtown

Re: OFFICIAL: Port Authority Riverfront Project

That’s fair if you don’t like the shipping container thing, I think it could work well even in bad weather. I always imagined a careless village just west of bar k though past the tracks. It would be easy to build out and wouldn’t need foundations. Plus it would make the path to river market more he...

Re: Companies moving downtown

I wonder if more of the financial services firms will move, a lot of younger people like living downtown, and it would probably make financial sense just on the basis of recruitment alone. Part of the reason I left Kansas City was all of my job offers were in the suburbs

Re: Pursuing FREE City-Wide Bus

I think directing people on where to go and how to get there would make a huge difference for people not use to traveling by bus. Especially if it ended on the plaza. If it had the words on the front streetcar extension I’m sure more people would be willing to try it. I think with a lot of people fr...

Re: Do we need to stop building with concrete?

What about building denser developments without parking garages. That should decrease the concrete use and the issue of co2 dispersion from driving. Would it be possible to use less concrete due to lessening the weight requirements

Re: Would you like to see the Royals move to a downtown stadium?

What about the bit of downtown directly east of downtown, I believe it’s called paseo west. I always imagined that neighborhood could really blossom if it had just a bit of a fresh start. It’s got a great grid some beautiful old buildings and a great area

Would they build something smaller without incentives, or will it just revert back to an empty lot. How does everyone feel about this project incentives wise. Im not aware of if it is reasonable or not

Tiny Homes in KC

Does any one know if there is a size requirement that needs to be met in order to be considered a house. What kind of red tape legal hurdles would need to be addressed in order to build one. Is there any place online The public can access that has a list of building ordinances

Looks like things are picking up on both sides of the twelfth street bridge. Are there plans to replace and add in sidewalks in the west bottoms?
