Re: 2023 KCMO Election

What a bunch of losers. Honestly. They’re pissed at the mayor and next thing you know, they’ll have one of their own running for mayor. These types of antics only make people pissed off at them because they’re ruining someone’s night out.

Re: STL Gateway South

St Louis is on a roll! Are any of the elevated tracks unused? A high line type ped path would give some great views. All elevated train tracks are used back in this area. There's even an at-grade railroad there. All will continue to be used during and after construction since the railroads, like th...

Re: STL Gateway South

Looks cool, but it seems like the main area of downtown could use some of this love Downtown St. Louis has a fair share of things in the pipeline. - $200 Million AHM Locust project with the world's tallest mass-timber tower, four building redevelopments, and two smaller infill projects. - $120 Mill...

Re: STL Gateway South

Looking and comparing this to SomeraRoad's West Bottoms plans, there's some overlap. Both are ambitious, mixed-use projects meant to be hubs. The only main differences is that Gateway South will have a port along the river and could see high-rises. Pretty neat to see what two New York companies do i...

Re: OFFICIAL - Waddell & Reed - 14th & Baltimore

Was kind of a joke lol. However, I remember Stritzel saying a while back that he thought a real tenant would kick off the Podium and/or Platform venture office That's still my hope. Since 1400 became more or less "spec" office space, I figured if it was leased out by a new to town firm, o...

Re: Chris Stritzel's Drone Photos

These aren't drone photos, but ones I took with my phone that I thought were cool on my two recent walks downtown. You might have seen the 9th and Baltimore one on Twitter since it spread a bit (very much to my surprise). I edited the photo to "silvertone" just because. Mark Twain also loo...

Re: Chris Stritzel's Drone Photos

Now that I'm in town, expect to see more drone photos of projects and things I find interesting around town. Photos start being taken next week. If there are any special requests, I'll try incorporating them when possible (and if allowed).

Re: STL Gateway South

Here's another rendering of this project. This is looking east from 4th Street just north of Chouteau. This view is interesting because it shows potential smaller building colors. I should also mention that the 2nd Street rendering also does that. So it's not all gray like the aerial rendering shows...

Yes. The walk-up units will be on the west side facing Walnut Street. They’ll begin just after the parking entrance and exit and go most of the way down.

Re: Freight House Podium Project - 20th and Walnut

It looks a little bit different from what it was when I was there, but it looks good overall. There needs to be variation in new buildings built around town and this one breaks from the mold a bit. It blends in well with the surrounding area and an additional 250+ residents is extremely beneficial. ...

Before heading to KC, I got to tour this stadium the other day. I did a blog post about it if you're interested in reading that here: https://www.cityscene-stl.com/post/downtown-west-reborn-a-visit-to-centene-stadium. Link to a fly around video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TieSYS3HTsc. Below are...

Re: STL Gateway South

Wow. Good for STL. This looks great Since when did the AT&T Tower get a twin? Haha. There's a few extras in there including an extra Bank of America tower (the foundations are actually there for it, just it was never built) and there's another Laclede Gas Tower. Seems to be filler, but it...
