The complaints about parking are loud and clear. People really show their stupidity on this subject.

I imagine that’s what Cordish’s project will yield.

Re: OFFICIAL: Port Authority Riverfront Project

These are only renderings and plans are subject to change, but let’s take a moment to appreciate the vision. This is very dense and increases the density of the Berkley Riverfront significantly from the initial master plan. Getting the 400+ residential units, 10+ restaurants, and 2+ acres of park en...

In a move that surprises no one, and should hurt KCTenants unless they give him the boot, Hartzell has come out as a Marxist.

Brightline West is breaking ground next week. Connecting Las Vegas to Rancho Cucamonga (with a connection to Los Angeles via MetroLink). Overall travel time from Las Vegas to LA would be comparable to the drive from LA to LV on I-15 WITHOUT traffic. - Trains will depart every 45 minutes. - Operating...

Re: Downtown Baseball Stadium

I think the design concept the Royals were riding with was meant to honor the brick buildings of the Crossroads while being more moderm, which makes sense. You don't, and shouldn't, want to build a faux-historic stadium. At the same time, you don't want to completely run the oppositie direction and ...

Seems the developers are trying for the 500ft option again. 11 applications amde to the FAA for a 500ft blanket building height across the site.

Just one such application...

A 9 unit building is being proposed for 3933 Kenwood. It would replace two single family homes. This is just down the street from the 3 new duplexes (not sure if it is the same developer). I'm sure some neighbors will flip their shit over how modern the design is: https://i.imgur.com/yb2WdbG.jpg ht...

Revised plans for the taller building have been submitted. 16-stories, 191ft. Up for review at City Planning Commission on May 22nd. The design is slightly improved, but still carries many of the same characteristics as before (all metal, gray). I do apreciate the refresh of the Main Street elevatio...

Re: SomeraRoad West Bottoms District

Honestly, if the other new buildings followed a similar design style to the corner of the Weld Wheel replacement, I’d be a bit happier. It has more brickwork to it than the elevations made it seem. The cream color is also a nice choice. Contrasts nicely with the red brick of the neighborhood.

Re: Downtown Baseball Stadium

Regarding the silence from all but one city council member about the Jackson County vote and the downtown stadium, I think a majority of City Council would vote to approve it. Not sure what the funding plan would be, but that’s what talks are for. I could see Jonathan Duncan and Melissa Robinson bei...
