Demo that thing faster. Now it's a hazard if part of it collapsed.

Re: We are getting a new airport!!!

The new terminal entryway will be 40' but slopes down towards the back. The current KCI terminals are probably somewhere around 30-35 feet. The 35 gate new terminal that just opened in NOLA has ceilings up to 70 to 80 feet for comparison... ...even their hold rooms have much taller ceilings N’orlea...

Re: We are getting a new airport!!!

Here are some interesting things showing some measurements for the drop-off/pick up area. these are public just hard to find. These areas are going to be very open with their higher ceilings and wide widths. https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/49396627187_a74c2e4b2e_o.jpg https://live.staticflickr.c...

Re: Four Light

If 4 Light turns out to be a hotel, I see no reason in Cordish waiting on 3 Light to build 4. Maybe they'll add a few condos into 4 Light and will wait to see how sales go at 3 before moving forward.

I hope that Cordish still has "W" hotels in their mind for this site.

Re: Bike Lanes

I decided now to chime in on Teresa Loar’s stupidity and her dumb comment until now. This comment is one of probably many dumb comments she’s made. “We’ve got huge issues in front of us, and I’m very, very sorry and very troubled by the death of the gentleman on the bicycle and certainly don’t want ...

Re: OFFICIAL - Waddell & Reed - 14th & Baltimore

I like the design despite street level activation being VERY minimal. I do wonder of the West side will have blank walls or if it’s only the East side. Reason why I say this is because the East side makes sense with Four Light expected to rise on the parking lot across the street. Also, I like that ...

Re: Phase Three Streetcar Expansion

Rail service, while it could be a way to win over some voters, has worked to some degree in STL, especially if you live in the dense inner ring of the County. However, some people just aren't in favor of Light Rail coming through their neighborhoods in any part of the STL region. It's the way things...

I wouldn't be surprised if the extensions to the Riverfront and UMKC double ridership on the Streetcar. You'll be connecting a lot more things.

I'm looking forward to it.

Re: Downtown tower construction boom in 2020?

Nashville has like 30 cranes up downtown. 30 different cranes than it had a few years ago. Downtown Nashville has at least tripled in size in less than ten years. Nashville is on a totally different level and are well on there way to be more of a peer to Denver than to KC. I took this pic last week...

Re: We are getting a new airport!!!

St. Louis is looking at a multi-county TDD to fund improvements of their airport. The 3-4 county tax would raise $80-100million annually to use at the airport. This sort of city/regional funding is the only way the average city is going to get something better then what we are getting. https://www....

Re: Why Can't the West Bottoms Be Redeveloped....?

This is turning our pretty nicely. Not being from KC, I was surprised to see how far off the path the West Bottoms really is. I thought it was a direct neighbor to Downtown like the Crossroads, Quality Hill, and River Market. I do believe that this neighborhood can become it's own strong community. ...
