Re: OFFICIAL - Waddell & Reed - 14th & Baltimore

There's really no reason, to me at least, why they couldn't have finished assembling the crane today. All the pieces are on site.

Can the debate over the coronavirus, politics and other stuff be done on the dedicated threads. I understand that this conversation is somewhat in regards to hotels, but there are appropriate threads to debate this.

One less vacant building in Downtown KC. Big win here. It's great that many downtown vacant buildings are being reactivated. Every time one starts and opens, it's another step toward building new buildings in Downtown.

Re: OFFICIAL - Hyatt House (900 Broadway)

Found this online last night. Date at the bottom of the rendering is July 9th, 2018, a few weeks before the project was announced/found (July 24th, 2018). I wonder if this is the design we are getting or if we are still getting the design with the glass rooftop areas. This is a simpler design but ke...

Re: Muehlebach Hotel / KC Club Project

The BizJournal has a story out about this project. These are some key snippets... 1. The LCRA approved the taxable industrial revenue bond request for the office building. Up to $70 Million. 2. Muehlebach will have 190 apartments (may not be new info) with 10% being affordable. 3. Total development ...

Re: Aladdin--boutique hotel by Holiday Inn

According to Trip Advisor, the hotel is "temporarily" closed until December 30th. It's also no longer on the property list for IHG hotels in KC. Is this property under renovation or is this an extended closure due to corona? Reviews on google appear to be mostly positive (averages out to be 4 star) ...

According to the Brass on Baltimore website, Hotel KC is supposed to open on August 27th according to their website. Not sure if that's new information.

Clicking through some of the ideas people have on the map is interesting. Most are good points with ideas that seem doable.

I'm not sure if this was ever mentioned before, or if Cordish started allowing it, but I found an Airbnb at One Light. It's operated by Execustay, so maybe Cordish made an exemption if in fact Airbnb’s aren’t allowed. Reason why I think this is because I thought I saw on the Two Light thread at some...

Re: STL MLS proposal resurrection

This evening, I decided to take a walk around the MLS Stadium site. Since my last visit, a lot has changed. More dirt has been removed from the area where the below-grade pitch will go. A sizable mountain of dirt has formed on the Southern side of the site near 64/40. All remaining asphalt from the ...

Solid looking project. The area needs several more of these, you just need someone with ambition and the money to do so.

I like that look along Main Street. Hopefully the rest of the scaffolding comes down soon. Doesn't look like there's much there left to do.
