Sidewalk is open on Wyandotte & Baltimore. https://i.imgur.com/6nEaaQQ.jpg https://i.imgur.com/A7Nrr4H.jpg https://i.imgur.com/YC0LJNw.jpg I'm excited to see these sidewalks blocked every day! https://i.imgur.com/wR2P9TA.jpg Also brackets are up so I'd imagine parking garage screening is up soon. ht...

Re: OFFICIAL - City Club Apartments (former Midwest Hotel)

If anybody happens to know the team working on this project, might you consider asking them to stop parking on the sidewalk on Walnut adjacent to Farm to Market bakery. It really impedes foot traffic on the only open sidewalk. Thanks. https://www.mwbuilders.com/ Good call. I sent a couple of messag...

Watching that video made me hopeful of the lots to the north on Walnut being developed as well and how awesome that view would be.

Re: OFFICIAL - Grand Place (former KC Star building)

While I am in love with that protected bike lane, those two curb cuts on Grand have to go. Drivers would block that bike lane all day every day trying to pull out onto Grand. And why is the garage entrance on Grand when the parking lot currently utilizes 17th St?

Re: KCMO Downtown Streetcar

We don't need to publicize it. The city needs to create one day bus only lanes that have no cars on them instead. It's a great opportunity to show what bus lanes can do. There needs to be point at which no more cars are allowed past certain points, which barricades on streets entering downtown and ...

The building has a certain level of r/evilbuildings vibe going on with the new red lighting stripes. It looks fantastic both up close and from inside the loop.

Many cities required to separate stormwater runoff and sewage are seeking extensions for compliance. Does anyone know if KC is?

Estelle's Diner (Cascone's) by the City Market streetcar stop is already closed.

Looks like it will be called Phikul Thai from the owners of Baramee with a summer opening.

I thought the Hampton Inn was using that adjoining garage for their parking. I wonder where they are parking guest cars now--the 811 Main garage?
No, they only use the surface lots across 8th on Walnut/Grand.

Re: OFFICIAL - Hyatt House (900 Broadway)

Site work is beginning today. Pics please Nothing of note just yet. Some equipment has been brought in and they're removing the fencing on the far side of the parcel. I believe unrelated to this, but traffic in almost every direction around this intersection is down to 1 lane (looks like DST work o...

Columns going up on roof of building immediately to the south of the new tower. Is this the beginning of phase 4(a vertical addition), skipping over phases 2 and 3? I posted when the project was just getting started that they're adding one floor on to the current clinics building- to initially rema...

Re: OFFICIAL - New Downtown YMCA (former Lyric Theater)

Much different than I expected. They are basically just keeping the facade in what will be an overall much smaller building? Will there be an accompanying surface lot? Seems like they've created empty space on the former Lyric site. There will be a green space/park area in the void between the Y an...

Re: We are getting a new airport!!!

Quick question- why doesn't the airport use larger buses for the economy lots? Tonight was a complete cluster with a few planes landing right around midnight- I had to wait with around 60+ others for almost 30 minutes curbside for us to see our blue bus appear (only to leave all the other stops wait...
