Re: Schlitterbahn Waterpark and Resort

BTW, Menards also asked for and received subsidies Why would anyone ever give subsidies to build a Menards    Most Menards in KS/MO/NE that I know of were incentivized. I know in Kansas alone they asked for and were granted money in Wichita, KCK, Garden City, Salina, and Topeka. Nebr...

Because not a lot Clothing Chains that are still in Business we don't have only missing Stage stores or Bloomingdale's or Meijer or so on. I hate to break it to you, but Stage went under two years ago now and their small stores were in a tier with Sears clothing quality wise. I think Dillards is a ...

Re: Plaza move-ins (ongoing)

I'm no expert when it comes to contracts, but wouldn't most agreements like the one with Nordstrom have some sort of contingencies in case they DIDN'T move as planned? I mean an entire parking structure and businesses were demolished with the expectation that Nordstrom would be there. On a side not...

Re: Plaza move-ins (ongoing)

But if you want to buy anything now you have to go to OP land for just about anything. Northland doesn't have anything either. Maybe it will change over the years but still. A huge black eye for the Plaza . They are better off seeling the pieces to individual partners now and let each group develop...

re has been pretty vocal on social media about how poorly Simon/Taubman/Macerich is running the center. Re: Plaza move-ins (ongoing)

Target needs a downtown store and a plaza store desperately to provide just basic anything for people renting in the area. I hope this means that Nordstrom has plans on renovating the long-neglected Oak Park store and that the higher end brands they’ve been pulling out will make a return.

Re: Macy's Closing Lee's Summit

I could get into the qualms they mentioned with Topeka, Omaha, and Springfield, as well as the dual stores they’re stuck with at Northwest Arkansas Mall and then the entirety of Memphis, but that’s the wrong store, the wrong cities, and the wrong everything at this point lol. The Macy’s in Springfi...

Not trying to do a call out but why are posts by this user always borderline incomprehensible and bot-like? I have always assumed after seeing them post on Facebook and other websites that the OP has a severe form of autism and whoever they live with doesn’t monitor their internet/computer usage. I...

https://www.cnbc.com/2022/03/02/amazon-closing-68-stores-ending-amazon-books-4-star-pop-up-shops.html Amazon is shutting 68 retail stores, ending Amazon Books, 4-star and Pop Up shops I guess that means the Plaza store won't happen. Kind of a silly concept anyway. I agree that it’s silly, but have ...

Yes...Steiner has a very poor track record... In retrospect, this is funny because Steinert & Associates ended up with a somewhat lousy track record in the end including Zona Rosa itself. I was down there today before a movie at AMC Barrywoods (that was only showing at one JOCO theater an...

2. Would you like for me to show you the many broken parking meters in Downtown Lawrence? Only if you can show me that they were just installed in a brand new place just months ago. Otherwise, it isn't relevant. I think the broken parking meter thing could be a sign of other problems that may arise...

Re: Macy's Closing Lee's Summit

It won't make sense to keep both Oak Park and Town Center Plaza stores open. They are too close to each other. It will come down to one of them. I guessing at this, but I think Macy's will try to keep at least one store open in major cities, and in addition to it being the in-house shopping option,...
