Re: NHL OR NBA, let the message board decide!!
“If Kansas has that in their corner, and Las Vegas did not have a solid ownership group, then that could tilt the scales” said Patrick Rishe, sports business director at Washington University in St. Louis.

Re: Main St. Buick GMC Site - 3200 Main St.
I am tempted to say yes, but not 100% positive. Ownership is Seattle Realty LLC out of Hutchinson, KS.
This used to be Conklin Fangman which was a Salina and Hutchinson Kansas dealership originally, I believe.

Main St. Buick GMC Site - 3200 Main St.
Apologies if this has been posted. Coudn't find it mentioned, and couldn't find the right topic, but this massive site had a call for offers that was due 12/11/20. http://login.mail.rms-media.net/editor_images/image_4ecda221/files/3200%20Main%20St/3200%20Main%20St%20OM_low%20res.pdf I guess I always...

Re: COVID-19 Casualties
This is surprising because it is a new landlord as of late 2019/early 2020 (Exact Partners). There are actually quite a few restaurants looking for spaces right now. You have a bunch of new vacancies opening up with kitchens already built-out, so it's not the worst time for an aspiring or current re...

Re: OFFICIAL - KC Star Printing Press
Interesting thought, but I don't see any way in which a baseball stadium could fit there. You'd need at least two other blocks of parcels, right? A stadium would need 17th st to the highway and Grand to Locust to just fit the stadium without any type of parking structure.

Re: Midtown Area Apartment Boom
I am fairly confident Mac is not the buyer of these properties. You make your money on the purchase, and they are bottom-of-the-barrel buyers. You have to think they are keeping tabs on property owners along this stretch. If something in this area gets listed, it's likely because the owner thought t...

Re: East Side Development
I spoke to the owners of the St. Regis at Linwood and Paseo a few weeks ago and they received tax credits to renovate the building. They plan to start work in January. That will be good as the exterior has been looking rough for quite awhile, and there have been construction barriers in the streetne...

Re: East Side Development
Regrettably, the chunky old brick apartment building at 33rd and Paseo partially collapsed and then was demolished a couple months ago. It was the last remnant of multifamily pre-war housing between Linwood and Armour. Was this on the north side of 33rd? Is anyone aware of development plans in this...

Yeah the owner of Tasso's owns that tiny corner piece. I can't remember what the plan was, but he might be planning to lease it to La Bodega

Re: Renovations of apartment buildings along Armour Blvd.
Don't know if this was re-uploaded to Loopnet, or if it just previously wasn't on there, but it has been for sale for most of 2020. It is very expensive and Mac won't be a buyer unless the price is reduced significantly. I'd say the fact that it is listed is more because of the overall midtown apart...

Re: Troost developments
That building to the east was built as a grocery store. I hope they can come up with a restaurant concept like Parlor in the Crossroads that uses the covered open area as outdoor summer dining space. The other option might be to enclose it in huge glass windows for year-round space. Not sure what t...

Re: Troost developments
There is new construction fencing up around the Firestone Building (31st and Troost) as well as the building just to the east. It looked like the Firestone Building was being worked on, and I think the newer and smaller building to the east may be getting demolished. As far as I know, the property ...

Part of it may be this commercial for Toyota. It has some of those locations featured. Just don't try to figure out the routing their GPS sent them on. https://pressroom.toyota.com/toyota-salutes-negro-leagues-baseball-centennial-with-upcoming-2020-toyota-highlander-commercial-home-team/ Rand...

Re: Muehlebach Hotel / KC Club Project
25 years ago today the Muehlbach tower was imploded. https://youtu.be/B9t5pzRKGp0 Thanks for sharing. This might be my earliest memory. I can still picture watching a building get demolished downtown, but I would have been about 20 months old at the time of this demolition, and I have a hard time b...

Re: Would you like to see the Royals move to a downtown stadium?
^It could also fit in the casino spot, with casino/hotel built into the stadium. The stadium should go where a streetcar is already planned with other justifications, not drive a dedicated streetcar line. And would orient stadium view toward DT skyline. Free metro bus should also allow cutting down...
