Re: OFFICIAL - New Downtown YMCA (former Lyric Theater)

I think the white mullions/muntins look terrible. But the glass looks good!

KC is the best city and we have the best flag. The other cities and their flags are a disgrace.

Twenty-eight people were infected at a church in West Virginia, and that church had to be disinfected by authorities.

Re: COVID-19 Casualties

I eat out a lot (or at least, used to P.C.) and am an optimist, small business owner and risk taker, but there are a ton of reasons why there are going to be a lot of casualties. I hope I'm wrong. Unless testing becomes easier to get and preferably free for small businesses, I can't see how any rest...

https://www.nimblebrewing.com/ Tough time to open, but they appear to have opened for can sales last week. Part of “brewer alley” with Double Shift and Border. I haven’t given them a try yet but will to offer some support. These are good folks. If you are reading this thread, you are drinking beer ...

Re: Phase 2 streetcar to UMKC

I think we all agree that lots of things are going to be different, post-COVID-19. Do you folks think this will have a profound effect on mass transit? While I don't agree with some who say people will retreat from cities (at least not ones the size of KC), I suspect people will feel more comfortabl...

Re: Closed Bars and Restaurants

The thing about huge downturns like this is it provides an awesome time to start a business. Sure, we will lose some places but it also opens up prime locations at reduced rent. I’m personally happy Bravo on the Plaza night go under. That place has been tired for a long time. Maybe something more v...

Re: Closed Bars and Restaurants

I'm chopping at the bit to get out to a restaurant, I can't imagine the whole world is going to be scared to go out to eat based on how poorly stay at home orders are being reported now. Mitigations like spacing out tables could do a lot. There is a lot that is going to change about this situation ...

Anyone know if Caddyshack is still doing pizzas? They don’t seem to have posted anything online since before St. Pat’s and no one was answering the phone when we tried to call tonight.
Caddyshack has been closed for weeks.
