Re: OFFICIAL - East Village

I have to agree with Mister Ember that it would be nice to have a pretty place to sit outside after I go to Express Stop Deli Fresh at 10th and Locust to buy a pack of smokes and a shot of Fireball. In fact, I demand one. Anybody got a light?

Not a surprise and they certainly had some management issues, but that was one of the best theaters I've been to and I've been to a lot. I loved their model.

Re: KC in TV and Movies

Holy Frit is an excellent doc that's part of this year's virtual Slamdance Film Festival. It's mostly about the making of the largest in the world stained glass window that is installed in the Oh So Very Large Church of the Biggest Resurrection Ever in the Leawood Book of World Records. So their pas...

Re: New Broadway Bridge

I'm a little late to the conversation, but does anyone know who maintains the ped/bike sections? The HoA Bridge path is usually a mess and borderline dangerous for bicycles (busted drainage grates that are poorly marked and never fixed, broken glass and debris, human waste, roadkill, sand at the sou...

Re: Building a rowhouse

the residents' use of those particular units are probably affected by the fact that they exist in a large sea of cars and not much else, both (obviously) behind and to the sides in the parking lot but also with street parking out front and more parking lots and garages across the street. Thanks, th...

Re: Building a rowhouse

I like the layout of the Gallerie townhomes for the most part. I would contrast that to the two townhomes on Wyandotte in River Market that seem very wonky in their layout. Wonky being a scientific term of course. Depending on the site, I'd value a usable front porch. A lot of talk about a front po...

Wow, I woke up and read the news and thought that was bad. Can't we all just get along? I hope Biden comes to KC to mediate this issue. Now, all this talk about a small dog park. What about the big dogs? They arguably need a place to run and do their bidness even more than small dogs, who have been ...

Re: Skyline from 169

You don't have to be flyingember or a photographer to know that, this time of year, the skyline from this angle will always be backlit and make it appear more grey, with not much contrast – even if you blow out the sky and everything else by overexposing. Shooting this in the early morning light or ...
