Re: Pendleton Heights rocks!

If you've not been in Pendleton Heights in awhile (or ever?), here's a great excuse to revisit it- Our annual neighborhood wide yard sale is happening on Saturday June 8th, from 7am-2pm. After the first yard sale I figured I wouldn't have anything to get rid of, and I was right...or so I thought. Th...

Re: Pendleton Heights rocks!

Thank you, I'm really glad you came out for it! It was the best one yet. I know I say that every year- and it's true- but this one was special, and for all of the reasons you cited. I didn't get to do much leisurely strolling through the homes because I was working the pop up at SVN, but at least I ...

Re: Pendleton Heights rocks!

Hi again! I'm thrilled to see this thread is as active as ever. Wow! So much has happened in my neighborhood since I last visited here, I almost don't know where to start. You probably have already heard about this, but down zoning was unanimously approved earlier this year, making it more attractiv...

Re: 18th and Vine

A great fit, I hope they do well there.  Never visited it on Main, anyone else have experience there? First off, Hi there, PumpkinStalker- nice to see you again.  :) I'm glad to hear Danny's is being resurrected in a location closer to my home, and in the 18th & Vine area to boot.  We visited t...

Re: downtown resident survey 2010

I would still like a bookstore, office supply/electronics, more clothing, and fast food/quick/cheap options. I would love these things as well, especially the first three.  But with that being said, are there enough people in the area to support such things?  I think there might be if those who liv...

Re: favorite under-the-radar mexican places in the kansas city area?

Are they still open? They've been closed the last several times I've driven by, over the last week. Yes, I just had lunch there today.  It's a small family run operation, and when Mom or the brother are sick (both cook) they close.  They're closed on Tuesdays as a rule, I'm pretty sure of that.  Oh...

I'm riding w/ someone else, so I'm not sure when they'd like to arrive, but Bingo starts around 8 or 9.  Get there early for .75 cent tacos!

Yeah, I know- that's priceless, isn't it?

Oh, btw, I forgot to mention, you can make one of those jamb brace-style things yourself if you've got the tools and the time for under $10.

Adding to the list:  El Michoacano Taqueria on Independence Ave. across from KFC.  We love their carnita tacos, their pork in green chili sauce, and their tamales are seriously incredible.
