Re: Plaza move-ins (ongoing)

Very little chance of local ownership. I’d say the only way would be if lease rates and percentages drop so much Taubman begins to lose money and filed bankruptcy. Even then, a local buyer would probably lose out to a national name with deeper pockets. I feel like breaking it up by block or even bu...

Hopefully Taubman gives up on Plaza and sells to a true urbane mixed use player who can adapt it with mixed residential and more neighborhoody vibe while still inviting to region.
Why not break it up?

Easy. Just allow public access to an elevator that only goes to the top floor. It’s done in some hotels, where key card access is required for all floors that are just for guests.
IIRC there are only 2 elevators so it will probably be the second option.

Amazing bar is planned for top floor. Decor and views will be unmatched.
The view beats Johns Big Deck but the atmosphere I suspect will be too upscale.

Modified Incentives Plan has been introduced to the city council. I have doubts that revenue bonds for a hotel project will pass in the current environment.

I've given town topic takeout a few visits so far. Being able to order takeout from outside has actually been an improvement over the usual set up. I hope they find a way to keep the outside takeout window in the future.

Re: Sprint Center opening day pictures

So now that Tmobile/Sprint merger is final will Tmobile take naming rights? Considering that Vegas has a T-Mobile Arena, I wouldn't bet on it. I don’t see why not. Many companies sponsor multiple arenas/centers/stadiums. A global example: Allianz Arena, Allianz Stadium, Allianz Stadium (Sydney); US...

Re: COVID19

Kansas City is now estimated to be at around 503,000. STL is in the high 290,000's but could go lower considering most of the 25-30,000 attending school there will not be counted this cycle. It wouldn’t be surprising to me to see St. Louis hit 285,000 or so during this census because of this. I nev...

Re: COVID19

For colleges, here's the official answer https://www.census.gov/newsroom/press-releases/2020/modifying-2020-operations-for-counting-college-students.html In general, students in colleges and universities temporarily closed due to the COVID-19 virus will still be counted as part of this process.
