Re: Status and future of the River Market area??

Does anybody know if the ASB Bridge has ever been considered an option for extending the street car across the Missouri? When the bridge was new the inter-urban to St. Joe ran down the center of the upper road deck. I'm posting this question here, because while wondering around the River Market lat...

Re: Downtown Q3/4 (re-)occupancy needed - service industry needs love

Have any of you heard or noticed an uptick or decrease in productivity? I remember reading stories about how working from home a few days a week could lead to increased productivity, but I struggled when it was my only option. Up initially and down now. I think it only went up since it was somethin...

Re: Downtown Q3/4 (re-)occupancy needed - service industry needs love

I have visited 5 cities during the Great Reset and was most impressed with KCMO plans albeit opening much earlier than most cities. Distancing, no bar seating, masks by waitstaff, 6' line markers, etc. BUT am now dismayed by the lack of follow-up by the office component as this same plan can be ado...

Re: OFFICIAL - Reverb (1800 Walnut)

While I think Manica does nice tenant improvement stuff like this bar, for wholesale building design there’s a lot of other local firms I’d suggest before them. 2 questions open to all: 1. Who are your top 3 local architects for this sort of project? 2. If you were building something in the $50-100...

Re: Ballpark Village v4.7 (st. louis)

I guess the con of having full office buildings is that we have bigger tenants who control signage rights. I also don't like the idea of a big sign at the top of 1 KC Place. Anyhow, they do have ground-level signs.

Glad to see Manica was left with this space and not B&M. I am hopeful Copaken picks this architect for their next residential project. Smaller KC player with an action packed, high end portfolio.

Bryant said discussions are ongoing with a potential bank to locate at the northwest corner.
Sounds like they have a potential tenant for one of the proposed new construction buildings.

An established developer was working on an extremely large project in the east side before corona (not announced). Maybe the largest urban redevelopment project by area since Power & Light.
Any idea if it’s still going ahead?
In the long term I’m sure

Project was 55% by end of the year 2019 per Cushman Wakefield annual report.
Kind of strange - I cant find this project on most any leasing websites now. I was unable to find it one place and it was listed off market.

The mural/mosaic has disappeared And these boxes have appeared I recently came across some Kodachromes that my Grandmother took around Christmas 1962, one of which was the new Arthur Kraft mural on the Board of Education/ Central Library building. Unfortunately at 577KB, it is too large to add here...

https://www.kmbc.com/article/questions-remain-about-future-of-kcs-steamboat-arabia-museum/33005171 David Hawley and his dull museum are back to openly pontificate on if they should leave KC. I feel like he does this every 9-12 months? No mention of Arrow whatever this time. We made the short list!

Is this just a move to take super tif off?

I assume no one has an issue with tif. It's vacant land.
At this point, the developers are moving forward with Super TIF.

Still only 4 units open. Many of them penthouses or higher end units. June update: 4 units open. 3 being studios (so technically an improvement?) All the 3 studios are the least desirable units as well. Overall, great for a residential property. That was fast! Only the 3 studios left now. 99% occup...
