Re: Southmoreland

I'm not surprised that building is being demolished and attached to the vacant lots to the north for development. I'm sorry to see Price Mgmt. attached to it though.

Re: Downtown KCK

The east side apartments will have some of the best DT KCMO views in town. It looks like less damage was done to the underlying facade than was done to the old SW Bell/Oak Tower. So much was lost around 1970 when KCK tried to "modernize" its business district. Two gracious old residential...

I can't imagine they complete the stadium by 2026 taking into account the need to also rebuild all the infrastructure in the East Village (likely water and sewer, utilities, sidewalks, curbs) and also likely rebuild/reconfigure the ramps to the highway.

One of the policy questions that need to be entertained along with subsidies and affordable housing is the concept of providing affordable retail spaces for some small businesses that need to sustain residential neighborhoods and to some extent office workers. One shouldn't have to take mass transit...

The underrated thing nobody's talking about is the horrendous streetscape between this site and P&L. It just kills the whole vibe if it doesn't get overhauled. With Copaken owning two key blocks in this connection, I imagine a development there will address this concern. Additionally, if the st...

I still don't understand what is wrong with just calling the building Mark Twain.

People already know the building by that name. "The Mark" just sounds like a bunch of 30-year-old branding people trying to be cute.
