Re: Star tearing down buildings for parking lots
The Star actually has 17 lots of which most are leased. This new lot should help in consilidating parking into fewer lots and get the Star out of some leases.

Re: OFFICIAL - KC Star Printing Press
I took a tour of the new presses today. The building is awesome and has great views of the skyline. The room that will hold 2,700 rolls of 2,000# paper was impressive. The outside looks nicer than the new additions to the Nelson-Atkins in my opinion. The Star's circulation is holding its own. 25% of...

Re: Is this wrong?
While on a search for a job here in the KC metro area I came across this from Careerbuilder in the description of a position. Located just west of I-35 on 75th Street, we often discourage residents in eastern Jackson County from applying. The commute from the east side of the beltway is lengthy and...

Washington Square - new stadium at night
http://www.kcskyscrapers.com/albums/album13/wsp_develop.jpg This graphic is not very indicative of the overall site. Just to the north and northeast behind the cluster of Western Auto & Firestone lofts there is tons of unoccupied land ready fro development. There are also more storefronts along...

New Years Eve dinner & bar
I went to Shiraz one year with a large group on New Year's Eve. They had a special menu and it was great. They also let us order off of the regular menu.
