Re: Rock Cover Band

Thanks everyone for the suggestions.  I found what I needed.  I found a trio that has some acoustic elements.  Figured this was a good fit since the music will be in my backyard.  Don't want it to be too loud for the neighbors.

Re: Rock Cover Band

Sounds like you're looking for the Zeros, though I have no idea what they charge.  We had Levee Town play our place last year.  They were great, some covers, but not 80's stuff. I have inquired about the Zeros, haven't heard back yet.  Figure they will be too much, but we'll see.  I will check out ...

Rock Cover Band

I am looking for a small (3-4 piece) rock cover band for a private party.  Was wondering if anyone here could recommend some.  Budget is $800 - $1,000 for 3 or so hours on a Saturday evening.  Anything from Classic rock, 80?s, 90?s, 00?s would be fine.  Crowd would be mostly 30?s with kids.

Thanks!

I thought the plan was to just get the three free throws.  Make the first two, miss the third and get the tip-in.  Either way long shot, and the correct call was made.

What a game...obviously we know who had what game circled on their schedule. http://www.kansascity.com/165/story/861328.html In the Wildcats’ locker room, there is an electronic countdown clock. Freeman said that after each game it lists the upcoming opponent and how much time remaining until kicko...

Re: What kind of car do you drive and why

I'm pretty much limited to getting a FWD or AWD. That's the consequence of living with snow and ice storms.  The Passat was looking like the potential new ride but I sat in it and didn't get the wow factor like the IS 250.  Did you check the Audi, little more wow than the Passat, and a little less ...

I keep waiting for the "kivisto field" printed on my football tickets to slowly disappear like Marty Mcfly in the Back to the Future photo.

Re: Big 12 Football

get rid of it. Are we the only BCS school with a track still? I think there is one other, maybe in the PAC-10.  I don't like the track, but it doesn't bother me as much when I am at the games.  But when I see the replay on TV, it looks so JV. Edit:  I just realized, I hate the damn track in person ...

Re: Big 12 Football

The Maclin and Jackson situations sound amazingly similar - the only real noticeable difference is that Jackson's mentor didn't get custody of him - that and there is no indication that he actually steered him to KU over another school.  In fact, by all accounts it was pretty much coincedence that ...

It was the Acura thing I was unsure about, I wasn’t aware of dealers trying to sell cars during first Fridays, but I guess they are.

First Fridays

I noticed David Basse is playing an outdoor concert at 18th and Wyandotte this Friday introducing new automobiles for the Acura dealer group.

Anyone know what this is all about.
