The NBA playoffs have been FAN-tastic! I don't see how anyone can think the game is boring after watching this post-season. Bring the Orlando Magic here! Dwight Howard, Steve Franchise, Jameer Nelson, maybe even a healthy Grant Hill...that could be a winner very soon!

I also like the NHL. I'd just rather see the NBA (and maybe an AHL team)

KCMax, im not arguing with you one bit, but i am still confused. are you saying that you would rather want an ahl team rather than an nhl team if both were avaliable???

I'd rather have the NHL over the AHL for selfish reasons, but I think KC could much better support an AHL team long-term than an NHL team.

I also have my doubts about our ability to support an NBA team. But I'd love to see us try.

I voted the NBA.  One reason I think the NBA would be OK is the enormous popularity of college basketball in the area.  An NBA would do especially well here if the local schools keep creating talent that a KC team could gobble up (I think KC Fans would love to watch a Paul Pierce type player play locally after attending school in Lawrence)

The NBA isn't doing so well in North Carolina... But hey, maybe it could work. None-the-less I voted NHL, it has a better economic module for smaller markets.

There is no profesional basketball around here but I really think hockey can get boring. I VOTEED FOR NBA, JUST LIKE YOU SHOULD!

i voted for NBA, having been a fan of both NHL and NBA at different points of my life (and basically losing touch with both at present), i think NBA would be a much more tasty grab for the region, than NHL.

While I don't have a strong opinion one way or another, I would think that NHL would be exciting simply because it would create another (hopefully more competitive) rivalry with St. Louis.  In the NBA, the closest "rival" cities would be Denver, Minneapolis, and Chicago.  (and possibly OKC)

Either way, I really hope KC gets franchises in one if not both leagues.

^That's a good point.  But, as a bias Missourian, I want this state to have at least one of every sport major sport.  If got had an NBA team over an NHL, Missouri would have that.

But if we were to have a choice between NBA and NHL it would have to be the NHL.  Neither will be a huge success financially in KC but with its current business model the NHL would have a better chance to succeed.

Yeah I would vote for both if I could, it be fun to see KC and ST.LOU play in another rivalry
