I was going to stay out of this one too but since GRID mentioned me I'll respond.

First of all there are way more than 3 of you all that I'd like to meet sometime. As soon as my place is up and running down in the Freighthouse district I hope some of you will stop by and say hi.

GRID, we will meet sometime! I plan on purchasing a few of your prints to hang on my walls and I'm sure we could talk shop for a while.

If I wanted to get into a self torture session about the suburbs and Euclidean Zoning laws I'd go have a beer/cocktail with Tosspot, Staubio and ComandanteCero. (I'll be sure to stay away from relationship concepts)

EDIT - (I would however endure the torture 'cause I'd like to meet them :))

For sure I need to meet the Chef someday.

I'd love to go beer drinking with Bahua.

I'd like to meet mean.... cause he isn't really.

I would also add that as much as I'd like to meet the boss, KCP, he needs to stay anonymous like Charlie from Charlies Angels.

Geez people, just because it's all I talk about doesn't mean I'm a drunk! Um... yeah.

I have met a good number of people on this forum already, so I want to meet the interesting ones I haven't met yet.

KCP, who I have amazingly never met. I am starting to think he's just a forum script.

I will throw KCK in there too, because we could talk about the merits of journalled filesystems, apache config options, and have a code-off between perl and php.

It's all for the best. They'd be much too intimidated by our radiant good looks to make any sort of good impression in person. I prefer to remain the anonymous, unintimidating forum babe.

I thoroughly enjoy shinatoo's sense of humor (in particular, his paranoid post in the "Downsize to a High Rise" thread. Might be fun to met him.

I met midtowngrl a couple of years ago...she isn't a "skag".  Whatever happened to her?

I've met Toss, chriz, bahua, booger, commandantecero, my boy in scotland (or is it Ireland?), GRID, QueSi, Fang and KCP.  They are all overrated.  8)

Anyway....I wanna meet that chef dude.  He's a riot.  trailerkid too, cuz I really want to hear him express what he REALLY thinks about Olathe. lol.  A good debate with tat2 would be cool as well.

I guess that's three.  I'll stop there even thought there's more I'd like to hang with and talk shop.

The obvious for me would be Devin since we are the same age. I would also like to meet Burton (I love his pictures). I would like to meet Chef just because we disagree on the Royals so much. PPA if he would ever come back... There are many others but considering the age difference in these...I don't know if there would be much to talk about outside of development.

EDIT: I just agreed on the royals with Chef.....hmmm

should be clear

Post by Maitre D »

The point of meeting someone should be the exact same as coming here in the first place: to hear opinions from people you normally wouldn't.  We all have friends & family who (by and large) have all of our opinions on life.  Forums are where you go for new perspectives.

Ergo, I'd meet people like Chriz, TK, KCK, Long, KCP (the old one - before he started banning people) ....b/c I don't hang out with any of these types.  I wouldn't need to meet Lock, Lenexa, Max, Michael b/c they remind me of my current social circle.  (Not as loud as Michael but....).

The only 2 people I would avoid are Bahua and Boognish.  They are not particularly nasty-profane-threatening, but they have one disgraceful trait in common: the desire to silence people (me).  I find those types to be the lowest form of scum, esp. considering the nation we all live in.  Defeats the entire purpose of a forum, IMO.

pittsburghparoyal-

Do you ever shut the fuck up? I was so happy to not have to read any of your posts any more, I was so happy thinking you had left the forum. Now here you are trolling again. You post some of he most right-wing conservative load of crap racist upper class elitist posts I had ever read on here. I am so happy that you quit posting, I was hoping you had sought help at some sort of clinic that specialized in treating homophobic and racist types. Darn the luck I am real suprised to see you back and not happily suprised. You lead the forum in warnings and have deserved them, because you are a cheap shot artist. ( Well you kcdcchef and Michael but you 3 are all the same cheap shot artists )

Now on with people on here I would like to meet.

Missionite  We both post on worldsoffun.org all of the time and I do not know who he is and likewise.

GRID  His pictures are off the hook.

tosspot  His use of the English language is amazing.

That is my list of 3 and a honorable mention to Long who seems to have a real grasp on the important issues with downtown.

There's a solution for this problem:  put the person on ignore.

Now, don't you feel just a tad bit stupid for not knowing this?  Email KCP, and he'll probably help you find the ignore button.  Now run along.
