anybody notice how segregated the united states is when it comes to white-collar and blue-collar. neighborhoods, restaurants, shopping centers, parks--all kinds of places are either white-collar or blue-collar, few places have a good mixture of both.

Of course I notice. I live in the blue collar town. The place where all the lower income minorities live. Meanwhile across some invisible border there is a place where all of the "White" collar middle and upper income people live.
