I don’t know if it’s an upgrade but it’s nice to have a restaurant in their community that’s open 24/7.

Kansas City can finally go down The Rabbit Hole at a new museum for children's literature

Co-founders and spouses Pete Cowdin and Deb Pettid, pictured here in 2019, first began working on The Rabbit Hole in 2018. Their new museum will open to the public March 12.

This is going to be a nice little gem for anyone that has kids. Checked it out already with mine and very impressed.

Can folks without kids go? Or would that be weird?

It’s definitely aimed at the 0-8ish crowd. They’ll welcome everyone, you’ll just get a different colored wrist band so they can tell you don’t have a kid.

Will my ankle band suffice?

Great article, thanks. Love all of the KC love in the comments too.

Will be awesome if the dream reaches full fruition with the multiple floors, print room, rooftop bar etc. mentioned in the article. But even as-is, an amazing achievement from the Reading Reptile folks and the many talented artists involved in its creation.

I do hope they work towards some exterior beautification to make the building more noticeable/distinctive, but I imagine that is coming.
