I think the Wall Street Journal requires a paid subscription to view the online edition. If you want to check it out, I think the site is www.wsj.com.KCNorthlander wrote:Do you have a link?

Or you could sack up and cut & paste.KC0KEK wrote:Right. I have a subscription to the on-line version, so posting the link won't do any good. But if you're near a newsstand or library, you can check out the print version of the article.

Riverside has got to be the biggest disappointment North of th River. Look at NKC and how well all the casino money has been managed there. They are definitely going in the right direction. Conversely, Riverside is still a sh!thole. I know they have a nice new park that was horribly designed, and they have plans for a big box development near Parkville, but please clean up the mess you already have!! Seriously, build some sidewalks, curbs, storm sewers, invest in some community buildings and develop your riverfront. There's no reason w/ the casino and parkville on one side, and briarcliff on the other that they can't clean up their act.

Actually they are about to clean up their act in a MAJOR way. The lag has been in waiting for the completion of the levy to assure anything worth having won't be lost under 20 feet of floodwater. The levy is nearly complete.JBinKC wrote:Riverside has got to be the biggest disappointment North of th River. Look at NKC and how well all the casino money has been managed there. Argosy has completed its expansion/renovation and both RED Development and Kessinger/Hunter have plans for significant RETAIL and Industrial development. The City is also planning a serious streetscape plan.
Give it 5 years and Riverside will be a new beast.

What Slappy said. Riverside will be a very major player in the KC market in a couple of years. Riverside had a lot more work to do than NKC and is about to take off now.
