There were a lot of Scandinavian settlers in MSP and Minnesota. Throw in a bunch of Germans and Scots and you have a population of money-conscious.

Denver Metro population is 2.9. Why did this chart use "front range" that runs like 200 miles outside of Denver Metro? If that number is used then KC could take in St. Joe and Lincoln, NE. All the other cities could inflate their populations too. Stupid!

Where did that chart come from?

I'd also like to point out they have many major companies headquartered on or near the light rail line, including U.S. Bank, Target, Ameriprise, etc. Tons of corporate travel.
My oldest child, who is trans, wants to move to the Twin Cities in the next couple of years. It's a much more supportive political environment than either Kansas or Missouri will be able to provide at any time in the near future, unless there's some huge progressive electoral upset in both states out of nowhere.

KCNRR expansion is about to kick off with City and BNSF support. This abuts the old St. Joe Interurban ROW. Given how cheaply St. Louis is building LRT on grass, just $20 million a mile, it makes me hopeful we can reactivate this corridor for future transit to the airport.

Anyways, here is what KCNRR is planning.
