A letter in the Star today (http://www.kansascity.com/mld/kansascit ... 789546.htm) says that the ATA's assistance for social service agencies has been cut. I'm a little confused, too; I thought that was on the list of cuts--along with Ozone Alerts, Chiefs Express, all Sunday bus service, etc.--if the sales tax didn't pass. But it did. They don't start getting the $$ from the new sales tax until a few months from now; maybe these cuts will be restored then? Has anyone seen anything else about this? The letter:

All the new tax money will go to TIF's. In a few years they will once again ask the city to bail out the troubled bus system.
