It certainly doesn't hurt that someone who builds urban towers has some level of input. Say what you will of the design, they're better than a parking lot.

Not for years. He mainly does licensing deals these days.

He used to. Now he just slaps his name on things.

Joining the Trump administration is a pretty risky endeavor. It remains to be seen, but the label "formerly of the Trump administration" could be pretty limiting in the future. It's a label that makes both liberals and many old-school Republicans recoil a bit. Knowing what I know about how Trump operates in business and life, I'd certainly think twice before working with someone who treats business relationships within the same ethical boundaries (or lack thereof).

will this attract protesters to Cordish developments which are in large cities where Trump lost big, even in otherwise red states?

Not by anyone smart. We should take development money from most anyone wanting to spend it. I never understood the thought of not holding the Republican convention here because of political affiliation. It's going to take every red and blue dollar to turn the city around fully.

and in context of this if a republican administration wants to provide 80% matches for road diets with bike lanes that's great. let's take every dollar we can get.
