Lee's Summit Divergeabout. Tax dollars spent on terrible places (not all of Lee's Summit, but this part of Lee's Summit)
Yeah, that was a dumb idea and Lee's Summit voters were smart enough to vote it down. Like three years ago.
But they have done nothing and that intersection is a pain in the ass. Could all be solved with a diverging diamond on the existing bridge and taking the outer road down to the existing intersection that Modot put in when they widened 291 15 years ago.
The roundabout would be nice on the north side but I don't see how you pull that off on the end of a diverging diamond. Most Lees Summit drivers heads would explode.
