Did not even know this was coming to the Cashew space on Grand. Looks fairly interesting - although I am not particularly excited about cheese-filled tater tots.

I've had those at their RND Grille in Lawrence. They are scrumptious.

Sounds like a nice place. Although, I was underwhelmed with Coal Vines and the Westport Ale House.

Hmm, not a good sign if same owner. Their food is highly sanitized and lacks the dynamic depth of the concept called... flavor.

RND corner grille is the comparison. it's not exactly the same ownership group as westport ale house and coal vines, although these guys were involved in both.

Sign in parking lot could be a bit less fortissimo.

Went for lunch today. Very nice finishes, I had heard that brass is making a comeback, and they have integrated it nicely. Not too much to make you think you've gone back to the 80s, thankfully. I ordered a burger (I know, boring but it sounded good) and my companion ordered the grilled cheese. The fries were very good, super crispy on the outside. The burger was ordered medium well and it was basically completely raw hamburger all the way from the edges to the center. The center was not even hot. Our server was very nice about it and they comped it (offered to remake but I was short on time and we already planned on dessert). For dessert we ordered the banana cream pie. It was a small tart sized dessert with a yellow crust (crust was really hard - the kind that made you worry it would shoot across the restaurant as you tried to cut it with your fork) banana cream filling, a couple sliced banana pieces, whipped cream, and sliced almonds which really completed it.

I'm not discouraged from this visit at all, they handled it very professionally. Server said their duck is really good, I want to go try that for dinner.

I had their burger too... Thought b&l was better if comparing new downtown restaurants.... The rest of RG food looks great... The tater tots have been in my dreams since I had them last

I assume it’s pretty new (there’s no Google reviews for it), but there’s a separate awning/entrance on the NW corner of the building for Rockhill Pizza.

Tried it a couple weeks ago. Really wanted to like it but it's just not good. More flatbread than pizza. How do you sell a margherita pizza that doesn't have tomato sauce?

I’ve had a few sauceless pizzas in STL. Assumed it was just their style.
