Good KC Star article on metro's immigrant status. Most stay here long term (80%+) compared to other markets given cheap cost of living and immigrant-friendly job opportunities. KC metro overall below US avg in % foreign born but KCK above US avg.

NKC HS is 50% white, 20% Hispanic, 20% black and 10% Asian. The southern Northland is right at the center of the immigrant growth
Farther north it's more 90% white

near me is a middle eastern market,a Subway run by an Indian family and others. I would rather have immigrant run businesses than the giant dirt storage lot or car dealer storage land.

I like that I live in a neighborhood without a racial boundary line, that it became naturally diverse.
