OFFICIAL - Crossroads Hotel (2107 Central)
have heard from enough sources to say something official should surface soon... 2107 central (the pabst building) will become a boutique hotel called "iron horse hotel". the only other outpost for this flag is in milwaukee (also in a converted warehouse). it will very likely be under the 350-room limit that's part of the hyatt's exclusive deal for incentives.

the pabst building:
this parcel is outside of the streetcar rezoning area (DX) in the crossroads, so they will need to provide the citywide minimum for off-street parking spaces (1 per 6 rooms for a hotel over 40 rooms).

The Iron Horse in Milwaukee is probably a top 5 hotel in the city of milwaukee, I love the location for this hotel. This area is starting to turn into a pretty vibrant part of the crossroads

Wasted some time on Kiva today and noticed that this parcel is owned by Aparium Hotel Group (Crossroads Hotel LLC). Still no official news about this location, but I'd say that is a pretty good indicator that a hotel will soon be at this location. No permits yet.

The Iron Horse in Milwaukee is extremely cool. It's my favorite hotel there. This is awesome news.

Kansas City architectural firm El Dorado Inc. will design the 125-room hotel. The hotel will also have meeting spaces, a restaurant, bar and lounge, and a rooftop deck, and serve as a “living room for the Crossroads,” the developers said. Construction is scheduled to start in early 2016 with a mid-2017 opening planned. The hotel would have about 125 employees.

Aparium Hotel Group plans to use historic tax credits for its new Kansas City project, which may also be eligible for a property tax abatement or tax-increment financing.- KCBJ

met one of the developers last week. i guess the hotel here will have it's own identity (not iron horse).

The Aparium Hotel Group of Chicago and Agman Partners bought the historic Pabst Brewing Co. and Pendergast buildings in the Crossroads with intent to turn them into a 125-room hotel. The developers said this summer they plan to seek historic tax credits for the properties at 2101 and 2107 Central St. and start the conversion early next year.

they've dropped a plan to convert central to one-way that would enable angled parking.
