favorite ITALIAN restaurant in KC? Why?

Garozzo's. Why? their Bistecca Modiga and Mike Garrozzo himself.

i also like the brunch at Cascone's.

Lidia's is great as well.

Their grinders and pasta salad are delicious, and now.

Gia's on SW Blvd, across from Ponak's. Awesome Ceasar salads, great entrees, nice, cozy atmosphere.

I'd put Carmen's at #2. Same food as Garozzo's, but better, and nicer atmosphere. We'll see if that holds when Garozzo's reopens.

V's in Independence is a classic. The food is good and the atmosphere is unique.

Meatball or Sausage GRINDERS RULE!!!!! The rest of the food sucks, but the grinders are the SHIZNIT!

LaSala's Deli Sandwich & Catering on 5th Street. Those places are goin' out of business left and right because the Vietnamese are buyin' into the neighborhood and the Italians are movin' businesses elsewhere.
